I've got you covered.
2007 Draft - could it be one of our best?
On the back of Tom McNamara being named for this week's match against North, I thought I would bring this topic into discussion. Trades: Pick #38 in the National Draft (Myke Cook) for John Meesen (Adelaide) Travis Johnstone (Brisbane) for pick #14 in the National Draft (Jack Grimes) Our 2007...www.bigfooty.com

Melbourne Football Club supporters' group to host event at male-only club
One of the club's key fan groups is holding its season launch at a male-only members club one day after International Women's Day.www.abc.net.au
Anyone else who has seen/heard about this? I suspect itās an oversight from all involved but it seems like a needless PR own goal when supporter morale is at low levels.
Don't think it's a massive deal but it's just pretty dumb and disrespectful, you just have to do your research on these sorts of things.![]()

If only everyone had a common sense approach like this, and not just find ways to be outraged and offended by everything, the world would be far simpler.I believe that there is nothing wrong here, provided the coterie is making a significant financial contribution to the Club. In the same vein, if a 'Women of Melbourne' style group was hosting a Ladies function, with the same guest speakers, I would have no problem.
I'm all for equality, but this isn't news.
1. The coterie is an important supporter group and they can hold their season launch on the moon for all I care.
2. Itās at least questionable that a club that is apparently concerned with the optics of the term āchairmanā has no problem sending heavy hitters to a fancier version of the He-Man Woman Haterās Club. At the very least itās a novel experiment in testing the anger/comfort levels of the female support.
3. On a sexism scale of 0 to St Kilda a decade ago - it is pretty minuscule. However, it would genuinely be a non-news story if the event were held at the billions of other venues that donāt have a policy of excluding half the population from membership.
4. Topkent should be allowed to work out at Fernwood or the Canuck equivalent. Maybe even start your own gym, TK? A safe space for custard arms, cankles and a bitten off **** is warranted.
5. plan b - the MFC should be practical and use its significant clout to ban International Womenās Day.
Current time? Some ****wit would bitch about this literally any time. There's no 'good' time for this anymoreGiven the nature of the news cycle of the past month or so, and the closeness of IWD, it was a pretty dumb PR move to host it at a literal 'boys club'.
Ultimately pretty harmless, and doesn't really need national news coverage but surely someone twigged that it mightn't be a great look at the current time?
I think so, but you have to reserve online. COVID reasons I think? You can redeem tickets using your member barcode.Anyone know if membership gets you into the game at Marvel on Monday?
Seriously who gives a ****?![]()
