I cannot remember a time in the last decade when the 'getting ahead of ourselves' card wasn't immediately played after losing a game we should on paper win. Hell, at times we've even got it after a close win.

If not for Tommo going down the vultures would have been after us after the North game

I think it’s good that we have our bye in round 14 ie as late as possible. Can give it our all until then with a few softer games until then (Carlton, Adelaide, Collingwood), and then get a good rest before it really ramps up in the last nine rounds. Three interstate trips plus Geelong after the bye will test us.

The more I think about it the more laughable it is that Richmond ended the season with seven consecutive games at the MCG in 2019. Only left Melbourne once after the bye, to play GC. The most consecutive games we’ve had at the MCG in the last five years is three. Richmond has had streaks of four, five and seven. It’s our bloody ground!

Interesting article. Surprised our attack isn't higher than Freo 2015, i remember them scraping through lots of games as well.

Not generating that many scoring shots per inside 50's but making it up with best tackling inside 50.

Still have improvement to go with mids kicking inside 50, generating more clean shots. We haven't smashed any teams like other undefeated almost-guaranteed grand finalists have in the past, but we are pretty aware of that.

Since 2010 we've only been the home side against essendon once. Not that it matters but I just find it odd and most of the time it's at the mcg anyway. This game is at the mcg as well because the Collingwood is playing freo at Marvel, which is kind of funny because we got our home game against freo at the g while hawthorn vs essendon was at Marvel.

There’s no correlation, but that’s clearly one of the reasons we’ve been able to get out of the Marvel obligation. That and the fact that unlike the Hawks, Pies and Tigers we have to play in Geelong whereas they get to play away games against the Cats at the MCG.

It has happened quickly and I am now red and blue on the outside from pinching myself to see if I am dreaming .

So I sorted out my dads mobile membership ticket was pretty easy. They must allow it only a day before or something. I still find it bs that you can't just book together my seat is separate from my dads but we are in the same zone bay. I'm thinking we'll wing it on the day and find a spare 2 seats somewhere else.
