Anyone care the WRC is in Australia atm? I was actually hoping to go, but stuff came up that held me back.
Sebastien Ogier won Rally Australia. The title is a mere formality.

I watch speedweek, flicking back and forth between that and the Sandown 500. The general news is that Summer Boag is boobalicious!
Speaking of general news, since it has been bumped. Do we all know that Montoya has signed with Penske for Indycars?

The times I've heard Seb speak, I can't help but think he's a w***er. But it's a fair effort to become champ. It could be seen as a diminished achievement because Loeb isn't there. However there may be a case to diminish Loeb/Citroen last title, or maybe even most. I found it odd that he then quit this year when they were going to be confronted with their most threatening opposition for a long time, if not the whole time Loeb/Citroen have been in the WRC.
The Indycar series is gong to have a race on the Indy road course couple of weeks before the 500. The series is desperate for any mainstream attention, or prolonging whatever attention they think they have.
I was thinking of starting motorsports history thread, what happened on this day/week kind of thing (not my idea). I can't bothered doing the work for it right now. So I'll say this. The famous footage of the Nigel Mansell tyre blowout thing? That happened on this day, 27 years ago. Yes it did.
"And look at that! Ow, tha. And colossally that's Mansell! That is Nigel Mansell! And the car absolutely shattered, he's fighting for control, you can see what's happened. Mansell is out of the race. Now this could change, it will change the world championship!"
