WTCC driver Tom Coronel was caught using his phone while cruising around the Nurburgring. Apparently can't afford the 5000 euro fine, he's resorted to crowdfunding to pay it off.

For us Adelaidians (and anyone else who wishes to come) the Adelaide Motorsport Festival will be on again this year from November 17-19. Last year saw a number of vehicles including a whole stack of V8SC cars, Ferraris and classic rallycars.

The crowning glory however was the return of F1 to our streets which included the 1987 race winning Ferrari and the 1994 2nd placed Ferrari...... oh the noise !!! That car will be returning this year I believe. This year 2 former drivers will be heading out, Stefan Johannsen will be driving the 85 Ferrari he drove to his career best year and Pierluigi Martini will be out driving his 89 Minardi that he worked some quali miracles in. Rumour is another man from that 85 grid will be driving the car they participated in. Early rumour is AJ whose Lola was here last year

To anyone interested I seriously urge you to go, its an amazing weekend and the closest most of us will get to F1.

AJ would barely be able to fit in his B12hr RX7. No chance he'd get in the Lola.

Their FB page put up a picture of the front half of the 85 grid and suggested the other man was in the picture. Senna and Albereto obviously out, Rosberg and Mansell unlikely, Lauda even more so.

Yep so someone in that photo will be there. Johannsen apparently its mates with the organisers hence his appearance, not sure on Martini.

I just figured AJ would come because its easy.

Been done before in 2014 by Billy Geddes but not by a defending champion, be intersting to see if it effects his 2 wheeler race.

That's 4 for the TT so far, including a road accident. Condolences to his family and friends and also to the friends and family of the other 3 riders killed so far this meeting. It's been a bad couple of weeks for motorcycle racers.

Yep Toby started 18th got there in 8th but was 5th fastest overall.
Today he has finished 2nd.
What an effort for the first time in a car at this type of event.
Has now flown back to start the bike leg. Should bolt it in.
Word is he may have made an aggressive pass on one of the out of bounds racing cars for 2nd position haven't seen any footage though.
