I had considered Karts. Hence saying there'd have to be weight divisions. But I came up with too many cons for it to be the option. Without writing a essay.

- It's too much of a variation from what would be conventional racing.

- Karts to motor racing overall is like the 50m in swimming.

- If it were to be an Olympic event. A 10-12 minute kart race is not going to cut it. They're not designed to go 30 minutes. Accounting for fuel, formula ford/vee can go double, triple it's normal race length.

- If it were an Olympic event. You'd have to be a specialist Karter, as opposed to being good overall. You see heaps of karting champs who can't get it done at higher level car racing. This includes world champs.

- Regardless of your experience. If you were a good driver overall, you'd be good in formula ford. This as opposed to being a specialist. That would be the point of it being at an Olympics.

Do yourself a favour and watch the Speedway GP final from Gorzow last night. It is one of the great finals you'll ever see.

^^ THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As Bruce would say 'Thats as good as you'll ever see'.

Commentary top shelf.

Speedway GP is at Sweden this weekend. Jason Doyle has won the last two rounds to sit only 5 points behind Greg Hancock for the title lead. Fingers crossed he's one place higher by tomorrow!

He's done it again! New championship leader by 5 points. Last person to win 3 consecutive rounds was Jason Crump.

Speedway GP Torun

The second last round of the championship has been run and won with Greg Hancock nabbing 16 points to take back the championship lead.

Jason Doyle had a horror night scoring zero points after being taken out in a horrifying collision with Chris Harris that has put him in hospital with shoulder, elbow and lung injuries and all but ruined his title chances, now eleven points behind Hancock with only the Melbourne round left to come.

Jason Doyle had been ruled out of the Aus Speedway GP at Etihad due to injuries he sustained in last weekends crash. This obviously also means his championship tilt is over. :( He will be replaced by Sam Masters.

The racing scenes are so poor
