Couple of footy names in the new ownership of Supercars:
Business and sporting identities that will be involved in the new ownership group include former QSM Media boss Barclay Nettlefold, respected former IMG Australia head Martin Jolly, TLA Australia chief executive Craig Kelly and champion racing driver turned commentator Mark Skaife.

Mr Kelly, a former Collingwood AFL premiership winner, has become one of the nation’s most powerful sports management figures, with his TLA involved in various commercial and promotional projects with almost every major Australian sporting competition.

The Nettlefold family have been active in advertising & include Michael, one time CEO of the Saints.

Ned (Craig Kelly) is not new to Supercars, see link above.

See the photo of Ned & Skaife in 2004:

I don't know what it means or what going to happen?

:thumbsu:
Its the business of motorsport, the off track stuff. Ned has been around Supercars going back to his role as Skaife's manager 20 years.

The new ownership group have more racing afficionardo's than the previous owners Archer Capital. Archer bought Supercars effectively from a group involving Tony Cochrane, now 'el presidente' of the Suns.

For those only interesting in the on track stuff, just treat/ignore it as white noise & look forward to the rest of the 2021 season.

anyone into dakar?
Yep, watch the highlights every summer.

This year the highlights show has blown out from 25 min to 50 min, due to the explosion in classes that they need to cover. Long gone are the days when it was just cars, trucks & bikes.

Petrucci won a stage, thanks in no small part to a penalty for Toby Price who is coming good after a couple of horror days at the start.

Go Molly, she also regularly had to contend with trucks roaring past on the flat sections of the special.
