On would hope that an ICAC would be truly independent, but no doubt it would be created with a mandate to look at certain things and not others. Whichever party was to set one up. The days of policing and security bodies not being political tools of the government of the day are long gone.I am very cautious of an ICAC going after every cent spent by Liberal-Nationals politicians once the election is had as it smacks of the rubbish the LNP did in holding the RC
But there are certainly 1 or 2 individuals that need the blowtorch applied once the election is over

In a several thousand word post, perpetual anti-LGBTI activist "Political Posting Mumma" has announced she's abandoned her plans to run for government. Well, at least her nieces have sent her a lovely sympathy card!
The LNP will sure miss the helpful, weird headlines she generated around election time. - but I guess the number of RWNJ candidates chasing the "demonising vulnerable kids" constituency has broadened a lot over the last year!

NEW ZEALAND
The Government has put some of the world's biggest companies in its taxation crosshairs, meaning the likes of Facebook and Google could soon be hit by a new tax.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern yesterday said Cabinet had begun updating New Zealand's tax system in a bid to make sure multinational companies paid "their fair share of tax" in New Zealand.
Although details are limited, the Government's plan includes a 2-3 per cent tax on the revenue of multinational digital giants.
