Personally..... I wouldn't touch that file. I also can't see how a PC executable would work on an iPad game.
Yeh, and it states works on Androids and iOS operating systems...seems dodgy.

This the one you're talking about?

Like dav3 says an executable shouldn't run on an iPad (or linux as it claims)... But just because it's an .exe doesn't mean it's an executable file. Could be anything renamed.

Would not be downloading it. Google searching didn't find any information about it outside of the site itself.

I did the same search and got nothing as well. Red flagged it really.

Hmmmmm, cleaning out my brothers computer. Has an incredible amount of crap on it, including about 5 anti virus programs.

Was all running good, but after I ran a malware bytes scan and AVG free scan (found 11 and 4 threats respectively which were removed) when I reboot the computer, i log in and the mouse appears but nothing else, just a black background - not even a desktop background.

When I open in safe mode with networking it opens up fine.

I did stop some of the start up programs using msconfig but none that I would think create any issues. In Safe mode I enabled all start up programs - I'm not sure if this setting carries over to when I reboot back in normal mode.

Any suggestions?

Not sure about the desktop background, but when you boot it, open up task manager (control, alt delete) and see if explorer.exe is running under the processes tab. If so, end the process and go applications, new task (bottom right) and type 'explorer' and go ok which should boot that up and give you the start menu and some other things.

Be best to reformat that though given the virus' found.

Got it going. I think. After starting in safe mode enabled all start up programs. Next reboot it took about 4 minutes for the desktop to display... After another restart it started normally. Have rebooted 2 or 3 times since and all good. Just gotta go through and stop some of the start up applications as they are slowing down the computer.

Spilt some water on my MacbookPro, where the directional pad is, and it's still playing up after about 3/4 days.

Got the mouse going but is there anything that can be done fairly cheaply?

My dads dog has knocked my macbook pro off my coffee table. When I start it up it just comes up with the Mac logo with a spinning load wheel then a load bar underneath. If I press Shift+Command+P+R together on start up, it takes me to a screen with the option to; Restore from Time Machine Backup, Reinstall Mac OS X, Get Help Online or Disk Utility"

If I click Get Help Online, I can access the internet using wifi, except all social media websites for some reason plus emails eg facebook, twitter, linkedin, hotmail, yahoo mail it wont let me access. Also the screen blacks out everynow and then and comes back on after clicking the touchpad, much like the computes going to sleep.

It also comes up with a windo saying "Safaring cant verify the identity of the website cdns.gigya.com" every couple of mins even if I'm not trying to access any websites

Ok. What have I done, how do I fix it, how much is it going to cost? I'd say the laptops about 4 years old.

If you can pull it out, stick in a bag of rice for a few days to get any moisture out.

Gigya is a company that does a lot of backend infrastructure for social media services, why you can't access that address in particular is a little strange. If it took a decent knock the hard disk is possibly damaged, see if Macbooks have any built in diagnostics you can run. If it passes try a reinstall, otherwise you're probably best taking it to an Apple store.

Anyone had problems with the Mavericks OS?

Mine's all of a sudden shit itself, trying a soft reboot in code view (there's probably a technical term I'm not aware of) and am getting 'bootcache.Playlist 2: no such file or directory and then no more code

Apparently it can be repaired by rebooting mavericks off a USB drive, but they'll fix it for free, back to the apple shop I guess

Not too clue'd up on PC's, hoping someone may be able to help here.

I bought a new pc a few months ago with windows 8, I've tried plugging in my old external hard drive I used to use on my windows laptop, it recognizes it but I can't open it. Once I click on the external hard drive the computer just thinks and thinks but never opens. I end up having to unplug it or the computer will freeze.

Does anyone know a fix for this or would you say the ext hard drives buggered?

Forgot about this thread thinking it would get better.

Still hasn't. Just wondering how to pull it out without wrecking it? Have to take it apart or?

I bought an Asus X Series laptop yesterday, today it froze and I couldn't move the cursor. When I turn it off at the power button I can move the cursor for a few seconds before it freezes again. This is the same each time.

However, I can navigate around using the tab and arrow buttons, so the computer itself is not frozen, just the cursor.

Any ideas?

Have you tried plugging a mouse in to see whether that will work? Seems very weird if it's the trackpad that's freezing, might almost be worth taking back.

You could try boot in safemode to see if that changes anything and maybe see if you can do some updates but given it's brand new and the issue happens every time, might be easier to just return it.

Given that the closest I've come to a Macbook Pro is to laugh at the people who spent all that money on them.... I wouldn't have a clue :) If Google can't help you an Apple Store Genius should be able to.

Unless Australian Consumer Law has changed recently retailers/manufacturers are meant to provide a 7 day DOA warranty, giving you a replacement or your money back. So test it with an external mouse, test it in safe mode, then contact whoever you purchased it from. If they don't help, Asus has repair agents in each capital city that should help you out.

Have you tried pressing the Any key?

Upgraded my ipad2 to ios7 and ever sense my Wifi has been dropping out every time I move more then 5 meters away from my router, tried changing settings and even a different router with the some results. All my other devices are fine so the problem isn't on the router side.

anyone know a fix? or do I have to do a restore?

Hi guys. Not sure if anyone can help. Have an issue with digital television pixelating horribly on sbs. When I put the TV on mute all pixelation stops. Anything I can do to address the issue?
Have you tried retuning the TV? Seem to recall something about SBS being taken off analog and moved onto digital only so maybe for some reason that's causing the issue?
