Anyone ever dealth with REG CLEAN PRO ? da faq is it. I got my computer brand new from a repair shop and this shit was on it. First thing I did was run the scanner and it came up as malicious so I read up on it and it is exactly that. Why would they put that on there ?

Get Ccleaner.

it's a registry cleaner, so essentially cleans up all dead links on your computer and all sorts of other crap that start to clog up your registry and slow performance.

it shouldn't be coming up as malicious, reg clean is perfectly fine program.

but as above CCleaner is a better registry cleaner and it's free as well. you can remove (or should be able to) regclean using control panel -> remove programs.

you should clean your registry reasonably frequently, maybe once a month or so. a registry cleaner doesn't make a huge difference (maybe 5-10%) but every little bit helps.

Can't get my XB1 onto Open NAT... tried turning my router and xbox off and on, turned my router from 'NAT' to 'Bridge' whatever that means and followed some port forwarding tutorial and put in some random numbers that did **** all. What do I do to open my NAT for my XB1? Any help appreciated, I couldn't have less idea what I'm doing/screwing up.
I've forwarded ports, done all the troubleshooting steps Xbox support has to offer, contacted Telstra, contacted Netgear... nothing...

Moved my LCD TV while it was on and it switched off (think i accidental pushed power button) now it refuses to turn back on
Changed plug holes, left it off over night, unplugged cables, replugged cables, punched it around a bit...nothing

Maybe a slight tilt when I lifted it but screen is not cracked
Any ideas ?
Feeling adventurous today so I might pull it apart and have a look
Knowing me it will never resume original form haha

Check that there aren't any power switches around the edge of the TV that you may have pressed while moving it, the girlfriend did this the other day and freaked herself out. Another thing that occasionally works is just leave it completely unplugged for a while.

What's the best place to find quick support to viruses/malware/adware etc... My Chrome constantly runs a window in the background that can't be closing constantly running ads, and avast and Norton can't install for some reason, fairly sure I'm ****ed.

Feel a bit stupid....

Today I half pulled it apart and noticed a kill switch(?) button that I must have accidentally pushed when I picked it up...lol

This biatch is hidden like you wouldn't believe......and it effectively gives the TV two off buttons, weird

Download and install the free malwarebytes software - https://www.malwarebytes.org/

Run a scan and quarantine all the malware it picks up.

The weirdest computer bug ever

background info first - i got a $1700 asus laptop nearly 2 years ago - quad core, i7, 16GB ram, 3GB nvidia graphics etc,. works like a gun but when i got it there was an issue where 'x' was always coming up on my output. it was like the x key was way overley sensitive. whenever i'd hit the d and c - an x would come up on my screen alongside whatever button i pushed. sometimes i could just hover my finger over the x and an x (or multiple x's) would display on my output. the physical x key wouldn't move... but it would display on my screen. obviously there was something weird going on there. but i'm not sending my new expensive laptop back to warranty to fix one single key. i wrote a script that would disable the x key.

xmodmap -e "keycode 62 = x"
xmodmap -e "keycode 53 = "

sweet. this makes the right shift key become an 'x' and the x key becomes blank. the x key does nothing. this worked fine - aside from a slight readjustment of learning where the x key is, but i picked that up easy enough.

fast forward 2 years later, and suddenly running the xmodmap script doesn't entirely work. BUT it works fine as it has for 2 years, EXCEPT on password fields. so for instance right now if i hit the physical x key nothing will happen (as per the instructions from the script above)... but if i navigate to hotmail.com, and type in my e-mail and go to the password field.... the x key is now working, and in fact it goes back to the original problem where if i hit the keys around x the x will start displaying in my password field (although obviously it displays as a dot - like a normal password field)... and if i hover my finger over the x key then it will also display a series of password dots... but the x key is disabled everywhere else, including in this text field.

i'd love to see if anyone can explain this bug cause it is has got me stumped.

sorry if this hasn't been explained well. it's weird enough bug to begin with. trying to explaining now is super weird.

Really confused with this problem.

My computer is the only computer/device in the house with this problem. Wired/Wireless connections to other computers work at good speeds. Although My tablet keeps saying "connected to wi-fi home network" frequently.

I thought it was my wireless usb stick, got a new one, and still having problems.

Right now. I can get online, all sites work fine. 2-3 minutes into using the internet

everything EXCEPT google and all of its sub sites work. I can't possibly figure out why Google works fine for a few minutes then completely ****s up to the point where I have to pull the usb out and insert it again. (Trust me, Its everything except google stuff)

Should I just piss the USB off and get a wireless card. This is so ****ing annoying.

RobbieGray17 could be some weird DNS caching thing. pretty much impossible to tell without actually being on the machine. I would say even being on the machine it would be difficult to pinpoint the issue.

Doing a video presentation today at a function.

Using Windows Media Player "Always show now playing on top" will that also prevent notifications (windows updates, AVG updates, other software updates etc.) from coming to the top?

s really annoying, doing speed tests reveal 8MB so can't figure this shit out. The forums I've been looking over keep suggesting to make sure DNS is set to Auto, but it is, so no idea what to do.
