I'm alright with computers, but a bit of a noob when it comes to this kind of stuff.... how would I go about formatting it?
Can anyone tell me why ISP upload speeds are so shit? No matter how good your download speed is, and I've had up to 125 Mbps, uploads are what I would expect from a 3rd world country.
So why is it?
Don't format it unless you are happy to lose all your data (music, pics, vids etc), installed programs and want to start from scratch with nothing, reinstall Windows from disc and see an empty HDD.
My computer.
Right click drive icon
Select "Format"
Follow prompts.
Only if you want to lose the lot though.
I have Optus Premium Cable, some months I pay the extra for the Premium, some months I don't. Usually get 18-20 Mbps, but on Premium can get anywhere from 70 Mbps to 125 Mbps. Upload crap though. That's the nature of ADSL - fast download, slow upload, but 125Mbps? What connection you getting that on?? Doesn't sounds like ADSL.
You can download an add on (I use it for firefox, not sure if it works for chrome) called Ants toolbar which allows you to download files like that which you can put onto your desktop or whatever.Does anyone know how to put this type of video (grey racing) into some sort of Movie Maker type thing/archive? Only reason I ask this is because I have been saving numerous races into my favourites, then have gone back to watch them later on down the track to realise they are not available to view. Can't find any way to download them on the comp.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
^Anyone know a good program for converting files that play on media player into DIVX?
My TV only playes DIVX off my hard drive...
Try a program called "ImTOO MPEG Encoder"

All the songs are invisible files but the issue is, they are all in very odd folders and some with their names all messed up. There might be a program to fix this (not too sure on that) but if you want to try and find them:Completely different question, something a mate of mine has been trying to do for ages..
Is there any way of getting songs off an ipod and putting the file on a hard drive. I don't think there is but worth trying I guess...

start > control panel > folder options > view > in advanced settings select "show hidden files, folders, or drives" and apply.
Then you go onto your ipod and search through the invisible folders (I would give a step buy step but my ipod is in my car...).
