Fair bit of whenever about it. Last few years there's been attempts to drag it into a 2-seasons per calendar year format. Early days saw one season per year with big off season.
Aw yeah, I was thinking that it was probably on a 4 months on 4 months off type cycle. 2 seasons one year, 1 season the next.
There's usually a bit of pressure on admins to squeeze the two seasons in. The breaks are a bit fluid, but it's never 4 months off. Probably averages closer to only 1 month off.
