This board is surprisingly quiet about the Sinner situation.

World #1 gets done for doping and only misses three months which amazingly include no grand slams.

Woeful look for tennis.

Worst optics on a settlement since Damien Oliver got caught betting on another horse in a race he was riding and negotiated it so he didn't miss the spring.

Based on what exactly?

It wasn’t intentional and I do take him at his word there. Carelessness and for sure but 3-6 months is fine. I’d have preferred he received 4 months so he missed one slam but 3 months I’m comfortable with

Have you read what's happened in the case?

I'm in agreement with Lukeparkerno1, which doesn't happen very often...

Hahaha well it’s a change lol. In this case they got it right well half right ban should have been earlier that’s my only issue but if it is 3,4,5 months what’s the difference people will always complain think they have this one correct

The battle of the sexes match was a joke so I read. Kyrgios in first gear and wasn’t really trying and still won obviously. Probably proved the opposite in the end. That men dont have to try and will still win again women in tennis. Ah well.

I watched the match and disagree. It was a decent match for an exo. The media are just baiting for clicks.

Sabalenka hit a lot of winners in the rallies and led in both sets. The issue was the one serve rule disadvantaged Sabalenka a lot since Kyrgios' serve is way more reliable since its his bread and butter. She made 11 faults compared to Kyrgios' 1 and that was the match. Kyrgios was not playing half arsed. He just played it safe with his rallying/serving since he was hitting into a smaller court. Also botting with one serve for ace or fault would be boring.

The media is also having a laugh by saying the world's best female lost to the 671st best male.

Give me a ****ing spell. Just because that's Kyrgios' 'official' ranking, doesn't mean there are 670 players better than him. Kyrgios would currently beat about 75% of players ranked between 40 to 100. We obviously know he's a top 20 player at his best, when injury free and actively playing.

A more even contest would have been to pit Sabalenka against Cruz Hewitt under normal rules. I'd legit have that as a 50/50 contest. An adolescent male on the futures / challenger tour against Sabalenka. You can't pick a winner there with confidence.

Funnily enough she looked the better player out of the two

I'm with Nick I don't see a negative I'm glad he called out the media in his presser.

Sabalenka wants a rematch.

The whole thing puts boxing promotion to shame.

Kyrgios taking the cash given where his career is at is a no brainer.

I know Sabalenka wouldn't be generating the usual sponsorship dollars a #1 would for a few different reasons but she would still be earning $10 million plus a season in prize money so really has no need to do it.
