Why on earth do people believe that Everitt, of all players, will go in order to make salary cap room? Do you really think he's on much, or in any position to ask for much more? He was on the verge of delistment earlier, he'll be happy just to get another contract.

I hope so that would indicate a fair deal has been reached and both parties are happy. IMO Swans dont like to play games during trade and usually reach a deal before the last day.

Several factors will be at play the way i see it.

Possibly speeding up the trade would be after last years debacle Sydney may be willing to help White by accepting less than normal. Its likely other players will not be directly involved in the trade simplifying any trade.

Possibly slowing any trade down however would be Collingwood are a premiereship threat and Sydney are likely to make only the minimum number of selections (possibly only 2 but likely three) reducing the value of second and third round draft picks. Also possibly slowing the trade down is Collingwood will recieve draft picks for Shaw and Thomas and both clubs may wait to see what compensation Collingwood get.

Could a Collingwood supporter offer some insight on how many Draft picks Collingwood are likely to make this year?

Hine does not Rate this Draft after the top 20 or so. So I say we use the 2 1st Rounds Picks and when the next pick is will be for Rookie Elvations

I agree that Swans don't Muck Around and in the Pass Both Parties have not mucked around with teh Trade.

I have a Strong Feeling that a Trade could be already made between the 2 for White and we are just Waiting for Tomorrow to Finalise Papers and get them in.

Pies would get 1st Round Picks from Those 2 and They would not be Traded

I have no doubt Thomas will get a first rounder but Shaw im not so sure.

IMO would be unlikely to net a first rounder just based on how from the outside looking in Shaw appears to be being kicked out of the club reducing his trade value. I know he is contracted but it looks doubtful they could take him back now. The trade seems most likely to be made with whoever makes the most appealing offer to Shaw's camp not Collingwoods. Just an observation but thats how it looks to me.

News that the swans want a top 5 pick and are prepared to trade our premiership players. Nick smith has been named on the afl website. Who else would be on the move?

We may be looking to trade with melbourne for pick 2?

We do have a lot of decent midfielders, they may look to trade a contracted player to stop the future squeeze on the cap? We may see someone like Parker go for pick 2? Especially since got perris for zilch

Although i don't like it, i wouldn't be unhappy

After Jude Bolton, Nick Smith is my favourite player at the Swans.

In no way must we trade him. He offers leadership, skill, discipline is still young.

I will be furious if he was traded.

So we give up a player like Parker who will just start to get going now, for an unknown player at pick 2 that will need a few years put into him which goes against everything we've done in our recent trading history that suggests there is no guarantee that these top picks will get us a future star.

I feel now that we have picked up Buddy to get bums on seats & increase m'ship & to trump GWS. What it means though is that we may have stretched ourselves in the cap so we need to releae some of these 'wanted' players. Smith, Parker, Reid!

None of them will get us any picks that will improve our chances at another flag.
