This will be unpopular. But i think mcveighs game against the blues is overrated, they were not that good a lot was uncontested. Dont get me wrong he was a great leader that night, but its not the norm

Disagree. Lots of other players can do the grunt work, but McVeigh is the type of player you want freed up in space. He was sweeping a kick behind play and was setting things up nicely for us going forward. Would be over the moon if he was able to play at a similar level in 2014, but i reckon the minute he starts doing that again the opposition will be putting work into him.

As a 24 year old competing against 18 year olds for the most part, I should hope he would attain results like that.

Yes. I agree with this. But Shaw currently has a 2 year deal at the Pies...so no one is off limits anymore, I guess.

obviously anyone can be traded but we resigned parker this year and reid on such a long deal, just says to me we want them versus shaw at the pies with all the chatter about going

Scott Lycett is a guy we could persuade into coming to us he is going to be stuck behind Nic Nat for the rest of his career, Scott is listed at 203cm and near 100 kegs. WAFL stats show that he's going at close to 2 goals a game and 20 hit outs proving he can play forward something that Longer can't do, Longer gets plenty of hit outs but couldn't get a kick in a street fight.

Probably being groomed to take over from Cox when he retires. Required player at West Coast i reckon. They'd probably want a decent offer for him.

Get in I hope
Ruck = West like Ruckman if we can afford and is willing to play in the 2s and only get a senior gig if Pyke or Tippett go down , might be hard trying to find some 1 willing to do that.

1st Pick = Gardiner KD
2nd Pick = Small Forward/mid if any available
3rd/4th best available players
Rookie = J Tippett KD
Keep Everitt to replace Shaw

Be a steal if we got Bontemelli at Pick 16 , 191cm HBF with a huge left foot

They may bypass Gardenier in the first round thinking he may slide. There are supposed to be some really decent mids in the first 20. If we missed out on Gardenier in the second round could aim to get Fraser Fort 196cm KD, can play forward and has pinch hit in the ruck before as well, although may be a little short to do this at AFL level.
