Because not outs basically combine with your next score as one at bat (and will continue again and again for as long as your not out). So it looks as though he didnt go out in his first 4 innings there, and then finally on his 5th at bat went out with the combined total of 120.

Our team, thanks to me, was the only one to get it right. But when the compere said the answer you could hear almost everyone saying "Of course!" It's something that you either know or you don't but once you are told it does become quite obvious.
