Now it does mention that he doesn't have any interest in coaching, but I will put it out there anyway. If Kingborough cannot find the ideal coach, I think they should throw a lot of time and money into getting him as coach. There doesn't seem to be many candidates available that are currently in the state.

I couldn't see him wanting to do it, apart from the fact he said he won't leave Glenorchy, he doesn't strike me as a coaching type anyway, he isnt even the captain at Glenorchy.

I dont know whether he is the coaching type or not, but its a job you have to really want to do. Its a teaching job, a psychologist job, a 24hr a day job. It would be both rewarding & soul destroying at the same time.
I think the Tigers would need a playing coach type. Getting the right person wouldnt be easy. What about Marcus Davies? & then try & get old Kingston players back, like Brady Jones etc?
That would make sense to me, although I dont know what Davies is like, he has AFL experience.

Glenorchy, Arsenal,
I heard today thar Mr Auld is a guest speaker at the South Launceston FC AFL Grand Final Eve Luncheon. Considering the recent history, I applaud both parties for making this happen if true.
If true thats a big thumbs up to Mr. Auld, the whole South Launceston Demise along with the Hobart/North Hobart merger is one of the sadder episodes of Tasmanian Statewide Football. I am glad both South Launceston and Hobart survied the Cluster F*#(k and are doing well in there own right.

I saw him interviewed on Tv last night and he came across very positively in my opinion. He said he is very keen on implementing a points system for list control in the TSL and said he had past experience with the points system. I hope he follows it through and it comes to fruition. He also said finals venues for next year are up for discussion at the next meeting of clubs so I think we may be in good hands with the new regime at AFL Tas, we have certainly waited long enough.

Have to agree. Heard him on ABC Radio a few times and he speaks well. His intent to move the B&F Count/Award from GF Day is another positive move.

Will state that live in Lonnie in regard to finals but find it a tad unfair that Glenorchy dont at least get a final, have read a fair amount of money has been spent there so apart from lauderdale most grounds would be good enough for finals action. League goes on about crowd numbers well they would be losing a few whom wont travel across to boot park

If they want a 10 team comp, they could do a lot worse than woo South Launceston. At least show them the respect they deserve & they never got previously.
2nd thing is to get Demons back as North Hobart again. Being a 'new' entity for marketing purposes is one thing, but ignoring 135 years of history & community equity is another.
I think getting rid of the Development league will create a problem. You dont want clubs losing their own identity as clubs. They are not AFL type franchises. They dont have the money like they do. Clubs rely on players, families, volunteers & supporters. Without all of them together you lose your heart & soul, as well as financially.
I dont think the AFL bosses understand that vital link in community footy, even for the TSL.
I remember AFLTas calling it the footy family!! They never really understood what that meant, nor cared IMO.
That was probably their biggest failure IMO.

I can't see South wanting back, or lasting if they were back. I really can't see there being money in Launceston for three TSL teams.
I'm not convinced there is the money for two, to be honest - but five in Hobart, one in Launceston would be somewhat of a misalignment of demographics.

Ten teams was too many to begin with. I think they have to go with nine now. Giving the side who finished last the previous year the bye before finals week - as the team presumably least likely to make it the following year - might be the best that can be done from a fixture point of view. At least until a southern team pulls out or someone in the north-east puts their hands up and looks sustainable (no more forcing clubs out, or denigrating them like happened to Hobart).

More like the Manson Family the cult of the beloved leader, that is all in the past onward and upwards at this early point they seem to be ticking all the boxes the new admin.

Is Jeromey Webberly Roger's saviour? Good luck to him turning that ship around.
Apparently they had improved under Jezza though, or was it they just beat a few of the lower ranked teams?

Well timed sacking it was of Bartlett though, just before a couple of games they were likely to win, then they think the decision is justified.

Problem was when they fronted up against Glenorchy again, who they lost to in Bartlett's last match by 100 odd, they got smacked by even more.
