Why after 22 years has there not been a Coroners Inquiry into his abduction and murder? Daniel Morcome's father has advocated for an Inquiry to bring out information.

There was the suggestion that they thought they knew who abducted and murdered him, but this divided the investigators. Could it be a cops son, Vernon Silich who was living in Rockingham at the time was a suspect?

He certainly was a violent and criminal who killed eventually kicked to death both his mother and father at a later date. (Said he was sleepwalking with his steel capped boots on!)

Anyhow no excuses at all to have not had a Coroners Inquest.

Why would Vernin Silich abduct a boy then bash him to death?

He was on the same street as his holiday house. He was with his brother. He disappeared at 99 Kent st.

Why would anyone abduct a boy and bash him to death? Then dump him in a pine forest with no apparent sexual assault.

Gerard was not buried. Gerard was left on the side of a road where he would be found not far from a explosives dump.

Kent is about 2500 metres long. It has about 250 addresses. Its about 30 minutes walk from one end to the other.

100 Kent street is about half way at about 15 minutes walk to either end.

Gerard musn't of been 5 minutes walk from his accommodation. Walks up street, abducted and bashed to death.

I wonder how old the suspect was with the model aeroplanes? And what was the circumstances of the murder on his lawn years before?

Still haven't been able to find anything about this death on a front lawn in Rockingham.

Someone stole a footpath once.
The first ever charges for glue sniffing.
A 14 year old boy was charged in relation to a death of a for year old girl.
A bloke who thought he would get a title was charged over a sexual assault.
That's it so far. We'll keep looking.

Gerard and his family lived in the Pilbara town of Newman but were on holidays in Rockingham, staying at 105 Kent Street.

The last confirmed sighting of Gerard was "in the vicinity" of 99 Kent Street, just a few doors down.

"Whilst police have spoken to almost 1200 witnesses during this investigation we believe there are others with information who have not yet come forward for their own reasons," Acting Detective Inspector Jon Munday said in January.

Drug deal perhaps? Or something else?
His last known sighting was 5 houses away. This looks like he was targeted. He didn't get far. How far was the comic store?

My only thought, was his mother sent them down the street because they were making a racket. Maybe the noise pissed off a mentally unstable neighbour?

A last sighting does not mean that was where he was abducted from. IMO it would be a mistake to make that assumption. Kids move fast and they take random actions, he could have decided to go another way or seen something that took his interest and run up another street.

Or a shortcut over fences.

The area was pretty popular with rally. QUIT rally etc were held down there. Just trying to build why someone have familiarity with the area at the back of the forest. William was left on a side park off the track.

"At approximately 9.30am on Tuesday, 14 October 1997, Gerard and his brother left their accommodation heading to the local shopping centre on Kent Street."

You do wonder with cases like this. Do creeps ever think about reincarnation? That they might come back in another lifetime & be abducted & murdered? Churches steer clear of the topic because it means that your future lifetime is brought about by how you act in this lifetime. The churches want to save you but sadly this is not the case. I hope he has reincarnated back again and some way make contact with his parents.

Wrong place at the wrong time, someone was extremely angry and he has stepped into their yard

Gerard Ross on the front page of the "The Weekend West" today, and in a 6 page "special investigation". (5 pages if excluding the full page of Toyota ads!)
They also announce/launch the release an eight-part subscribers only video doco about this cold case called "The boy in the blue cap".

But it's all about our right to know...
Maybe if The West Australian Newspaper owned by Seven West Media Limited (Kerry Stokes fiefdom), made the video documentary series and all articles on Gerard Ross today, available for everyone freely on the internet, then maybe there would be more chance of solving this sad case and assisting WAPOL with "Operation Footlight" more quickly, or at all!
