Much respect to Gerard Whateley. Great bit of video there.

Kockie and KT have shown that we're aiming for national exposure, not just exposure in SA. Now that we're firing on all cylinders and the whole AFL community appreciates our hard work, it's obvious that any comparison to our neighbours would be a backwards step.

I do note though that the fruit tingles slogan will become more of an oxymoron that it currently is once we overtake them.

What a pitch for our club, culture, leaders and team spirit. Enjoyed it very much. But things can come crashing down fast with all teams now hunting us, injuries to test our depth, the season is long/brutal and we MUST NOT loose our core principles at anytime. I am confident we wont but the season is a marathon not a sprint. But we know our best is up there with the best.....

It wasn't a proper drop kick. It was a - shit I a could run over line type moment and he pulled his stride hunched over to drop the ball and dropped the ball further than he wanted and collected the ball as it was hitting the ground and kicked a little grubber kick.

And then there are the fans. 47,000 fans. It was two years ago that their seats were covered by plastic sheets to avoid the embarrassment of empty seats, and did they make a din. And the way that it's built, it rolls the sound back on top of the ground. Ah, and it's, the players felt it. I know that for a fact.......

And an hour later Gerard Healy said "what is so good about this , its just such a great story. People talk about the West Sydney Wanderers being a great story, Port Adelaide is as good, if not better then the Wanderers, clearly they've got to go on and now win a premiership, but just to go out onto that ground Mike, the electricity......"

Next mission, give Mike Sheahan the Gerard Whateley treatment for the Hawks Saturday night game in a few weeks time. Don't take him to the watching the boring Dockers.
