Adam Thomsen seems an interesting one. He may be another Bentick, which is certainly not to say a bad player, but we're struggling to use our own Bentick right now, not sure we need another one.

But there are some amongst the Port faithful, those who can read and write and use the intraweb thingy (so... the minority), who reckon he is gonna make Choco look like an idiot and be a star somewhere else.

There's upside... it's just a matter of price I guess.

Could be a useful late round pick up but wouldn't trade too much for him. Good hard honest player never really given a chance to settle by Choco who was comparing him to the other midfielders around him - Burgoynes, Cornes, Cassisi, Boak, Salopek. Based on this you can see why he couldnt really crack a regular spot. Might benefit from a change of scenery and some midfield coaching from Diesel.

Now don't shoot me down too quickly over this comparison, but he does play a bit like Greg Williams, minus the angry pills.

Loves it down & dirty under the pack, has plenty of courage & kicks a nice goal.

He's not quick, nor is he a great kick, I would describe him as an adequate kick with average speed, solid marking skills and an excellent temperament.

Pretty much a solid citizen type.

I have a feeling that Dean Bailey might like to get him to the Demons, as Dean was his midfield coach at Port.

If that was the case, it could involve a 3way swap between the Demons, Dockers & Port.

It boils down to the suspicion that a few clubs would like to recruit Adam, and so far it seems his preference is to go somewhere in Victoria, so it could become a type of auction for his services, which means whoever gets him will probably pay too much, but that's our system for you.

ive watched thommo plenty and i agree with the above. He might be a bit better than bentick, but similar. Kicks plenty of goals for an inside mid but wouldnt be worth what we'd have to pay.

Crows would be the likely bet anyway, or freo as mentioned. Hes a great sanfl player however, hope the crows pick him up so we can keep him at sturt

If not.... why can't Thomson get a game in it, and why WOULD he get a game in ours? Bentick can't.
