No chance. Our policy is to develop youth and has been for a number of years now. Why would we want to bring in a player who may only have a year or two left in him (at best)?

Has been shite this year and he is puss when he plays midfield. He would be Competing with Harper/wright/Adams on the hff. I would much rather have those three in the side then the I un- disciplined Sylvia

To be honest I don't necessarily see Gibson as a straight up starter 22 long term, let alone Sylvia.

Gibbo's a great find don't get me wrong since he's a mature age body ready for AFL, but to me he is grooming the spot for Cunnington which in a couple years time should make for a natural transition.

I tend to agree. As much as I like Gibbo, if this is what he's bringing to the table then at the moment he's keeping his spot, but as you said only for someone like Cunnington to eventually take it

My contacts at Melbourne tell me that Sylvia and Moloney are poison. They have a terrible attitude. Sylvia would have to change his tune alot to be welcome at NMFC. A 3rd rd. draft pick swap at the most.

I'd have a look at him in the offseason.

As has been mentioned, he's icing, he's never played in a dominant side, he's a game breaker, with some obvious issues.

FFS I read countless threads on Fevola for 2 years.

God forbid we had the media we had now, during the 90's, there were plenty of fantastic footballers in our side that were also absolute ***** of blokes, that most on these boards idolise, you can forgive them in a successful side....

from what i have seen of cunnington so far he had a LOT of work to take that spot at the moment.

Purely from a playing perspective he'd be an upgrade on Liam Anthony and possibly Sam Gibson too. But at what cost? Not just the draft pick/player he'd cost, but the salary cap space too. He'd be on double, even triple what Anthony is on and probably 10 times that of Gibson.

Not worth it.

Tend to disagree there Rooboy44. Gibson may be older but has shown as much or more in his few games than Cunnington has in his career.

Ben may keep improving and take over Gibbo's spot, but I wouldn't say it is a given - no reason why Gibson can't improve also with better players around him and stay around longer than you might think.

As for Silvia, still a definite no for mine.

Well what i heard about Fev and his 'bucket list'- would make Sir Elton John.. 'stand tall'.

Anywho, unless there's a Daryl Silvia I'm not interested, but apart from that I'm enjoy our current path and the 'no players from other clubs policy' seems to be going ok.
