Well, the Centrals had a great draw in the "Draft", playing weaker sides and travelling as little as possible. Also, playing home games to start and finish the season.

In the final draft we are playing all the strongest sides twice (there are 12 sides in D4), playing all the distant sides twice, and playing the first round and last round away from home.

So its pretty much the opposite of the "draft" draw.

So, the question is... Is it better to get screwed in the "draft" draw and then have a chance to complain about it?

Big Waz,
Does this require its own thread? So you have bad draw, have a glass of harden the f&#k up and get on with it.

Waz, you are better than that.

The point I'm trying to make is... Why does the VAFA make chages to its draw at the request of the whiners, without asking the newly effected teams?

(I'm trying to say it without whinging, trying... :) )

This problem only effects d4 so it should stay in the d4 thread.:)

Not true... Was D4 the only draw that changed? I doubt it.

Yes, but in every other division there are 10 teams thus you have to play every team home and away which makes the draw insignificant. In D4 there are 4 sides you only play once which makes the draw even more important

Stop whining fools, if your team is good enough, they will win wherever against whoever. If not, they don't deserve to be in the northern end of the ladder. Yes the draw will play a part, but only for the teams in the 5th to 8th range. Of course they will know fully well that when it counted, they weren't good enough.

I agree, for the teams capable of winning it all it shouldn't make a difference... but I'm trying to determine the process followed by the VAFA for creating the draw.

Does it go something like this:

1. Random draw
2. Teams with poor draws complain
3. Final draw

?

If so its a pretty poor system. If not, then how does it work?
