Suggestion today that he'll be signing with GC.

there was an article on afl.com last night confirming GCS are signing Burgess and Corbett and their third is McAdam, with Carlton getting Kreuger and trading him to Geelong and their 2nd is McAdam

so it seems both GCS and Carlton are fighting over McAdam, Carlton want him and want to trade him to Adelaide as part of the Mitch McGovern deal and GCS just want McAdam, probably to play at Gold Coast.

For what it's worth I actually think gold Coast would be better off grabbing the king brothers with 2 and 3 ..might help with the go home factor. . Will help replace Lynch and possibly May ( if not this year next)
I think drafting Lukocious and Rankine would be more revolving door issues for GC in a couple of years time

I honestly have a feeling that GC will draft Rozee with Lukocious. Both great friends.

Brisbane have had great recent success with drafting good mates from Ballarat and Vic Country.

Just because you draft brothers doesn't mean the go-home factor won't be there imo.

Rankine is the most likely to head home in this draft. I have no proof of this...just a gut feeling.

That's true... It seems to be Brisbane's recruiting strategy these days. .Go home factor is less with Vic country lads.. .My thought was that with Lynch gone and May seemingly gone this year or next the Two King brothers are replacements for those two. .And yes the fact they are brothers is no guarantee that they won't want to go home, on the other hand it might help

You have a feeling that the widely reported scenario will happen?

Will he go number 3 in a package with Lukosius, odds are definitely shortening.

Should he e.g.: is he worthy of using a pick 3, personally i don't think so especially if someone like Rankine is available.

On the flip side I understand they want to keep JL happy.

I've said this before, there may be players better than Rozee available at 3, but if Lukosius is so much better than those players (which I think he is) then it makes sense to do as much as you can to keep Lukosius over getting in the next best talent. Rozee isn't that much of a drop from those available that Gold Coast supporters should be angry if he's picked.

If Rozee is only 75% as good as Rankine, but Lukosius is 25% better than Rankine then it evens out taking Luko and Rozee anyway

The sense is there with Kade Kolodjashnij rumoured to be seeking a trade away from the Suns as well.

Rozee a similar more outside type with good skills by foot.

Yeah, much in the same way you can have a feeling that Walsh will go at pick one....just because something is widely reported, doesn't mean it will happen; and that you can no longer have a feeling about it.

So yes, it is my assessment/opinion that GC will be more likely to take the Lukosius/Rozee combo over the Lukosius/Rankine combo.

I just can't see anyone bidding on Quaynor in the top 15.
Be interesting to see if the Pies would match.

Why do you suggest that? I hope that is the case; but he's clearly the best small defender in the draft and at any pick around ours i'd suggest clubs would probably force our hand in selecting him.

Depends still on what happens tomorrow but i can definitely see a bid in the 10 - 15 range.

Quaynor is arguably the best general defender in the draft, Port Adelaide have lost a general defender in Pittard and won’t have Hartlett back straight away.

GWS might look at Quaynor for post Shaw, knowing that he is a good user by foot and force your hand.

Definitely wouldn’t discount a bid in the first round.

Will Kelly as a task minded defender may need a second round match also.

Any first round pick we have will be for midfielders or Williams. With our Pick 25 we're in the perfect range to pick up McLennan or Ayton-Delany

Keep the Pies honest Bangers. You know you want to ;)

Agree with you however, replacing Scully and possibly Shiel is of greater importance early. Get a gut running mid with skills by foot.

If we get a pick there we have no reason not to bid for Quaynor. I'm afraid I don't see anyone in this draft that can mould into Scully, apart from, and as much as I hate to admit this, Daly Andrews if he fixes his disposal but any pick before the 4th round for him is ridiculous. Shiel would be easier with someone like RCD being of real interest to us to replicate Shiel's contested work and burst away speed, and as a bonus RCD can hit targets!
If we get Essendons first for Shiel I'd hope one of RCD, Stocker or Hately would be picked

We won’t be taking McLennan in the first round. We don’t need another rebounding defender considering we got McPherson last year. Wouldn’t be surprised to see us go Caldwell over Hately too, probably suits our needs more

Thanks for the feedback Texas.

McLennan was a pick for me allowing Smith to maybe play more on a wing than HB. You are correct about McPherson already being depth but.

Can’t understand the fascination in Caldwell over Hately, maybe depends on if the Crows can force themselves into the top 5.

Fast twitch speed is enticing, may not want another Brouch but.

What would be your ideal, but realistic, first round for Adelaide?
