I'm not convinced Archee is more than simply a good player .....22 goals for the 2025 season is not screaming out at me
IMHO Turray isn't a long shot ....yes, he doesn't have a lot of tricks, however another 200 cm aggressive pack breaking fwd, with good hands ....I'm persevering
Cook has more tricks than Archee ....and I'm not running Archee down ..for the right Club he's a great get
Cook might have more tricks than Ah Chee, but it's face it - Ah Chee has shown he can perform when it really counts, while Cook has yet to show he can perform at all at AFL level.
As for Murray, we've seen lots of big men dominate the SANFL and do absolutely nothing at AFL level. Hell, Strachan is arguably doing more playing up forward than Murray is, and is a better ruck to boot, and he can barely get a look at AFL level. It's way too early to say much of anything about him yet.
The one big list gap we've got on the horizon is Walker retiring. He's such an important part of our side even now as he squeezes the last bit of juice out of his body, and our replacements are either not ready yet or not up to the task. Someone like Ah Chee could be extremely useful, even if just as a stopgap measure for a few years while we're in the premiership window, and particularly if it doesn't come at the expense of significant draft capital.

Not his finest moment, that's for sure. Mind you, looking back at it now - what was 197cm Curtin coming off a jarred knee doing on 182cm Ah Chee? Was that really the best matchup we had for him?
As for Morris, I think part of the discontent at the time was that Curtin was allowing a fellow second-gamer in Morris to make him look silly. But with the benefit of hindsight, we now know that Morris has made plenty of defenders look silly.

Turray was someone bypassed in multiple drafts who was taken midseason as a rookie. Those players are ALWAYS long shots.
Good luck to him, but let's be realistic.

Toby has dramatically improved in the short time he's been with us .....hell, he's 21 YO now, and 200 cm players "generally" don't show much until 22/23

I wouldn't say I'm Ah Chee's biggest fan, but he finds the pill and does hit the scoreboard (especially in the last 2 years). And if he came to us, would be a player with 10 games of finals experience and 2 x GF appearances (before this year).
Like a few on here, i'm not sure he's a need, or a massive ceiling raiser. But he would be another of those players that would make our floor higher, and make us tougher to beat in big games.

A post-Walker fwd line of TT, Fog, Rachele, Rankine, Ah Chee, ANB has enough marking power (less than a 3 tall set up but Walker really only offers medium-tall marking power now anyway), a lot of goal kicking power, and more speed and defensive pressure. I think it would be well-balanced.
We can always throw Curtin or Dawson fed for more marking power.

He always turns it on against us, we're the only team in the league he averages more than 1 goal a game against.
Shit, I'm happy to recruit him just so he can't play against us any more. Even if we don't pick him we're instantly a 1.2 goal better team against Brisbane.
Toby looked good on the weekend in the SANFL highlights. Seems to be agile, good hands, takes the right options when presented and obviously is big. Would definitely not have the tricks of walker but at that size, the opposition would need to put time into him which i dont think they would need to if it was a 185-195cm like a burgess (wasnt able to clunk marks when under pressure).
