On the topic of tickets, I have 2 for the port game in section 146. This is the bulldogs section. They are usually $85 each, but we can’t go now, so pm me if you are interested. I’m open to reasonable offers, not profiteering from a fellow dog!

They know how to charge at Adelaide Oval, hey? I bought two GA tickets yesterday @ $40 each 😮

Yeah it is quite disgusting the price of tix to AO. I have a port and crows supporter as neighbour either side of me who don’t go anymore due to the ridiculous cost of AO. They say it regularly $300+ to take 2 kids/ 2 adults + any food/drinks😲 I was shocked at $85 to sit behind the goals, hardly a premium location in my opinion.
Just about cheaper to fly over to MELB and watch a game at marvel!

This time last week you could purchase tickets for this week's game.

I would have expected round 11 tickets to be released by now. Is there an ETA?

I understood it to be two week batches rather than a rolling two weeks.

So next week you should be able to book Rds 11 & 12.

Bugger. So that means we have to wait an extra week to purchase tickets for our match against the bye ☹

Shouldn’t have too much competition for seats from oppo members though.

Dunno. Their opposition supporters can get pretty up and about when they win. I still remember when the bye beat Port in 2011.

Wanted to share my experience last night trying to purchase two tickets as members for my son and I to the St Kilda game this weekend.

Given I missed the opening day of tickets being sold to members, I wasn't sure how many tickets would be available. So I initially went to Ticketmaster website and plugged in general admissions L3 to see what seats I could choose from. Turns out I could have chosen from just about every bay around L3, i.e. there were plenty of tickets left. I prefer to sit behind the goals and those were available (Aisle 1) but didn't need to pay $27 for my ticket because I've already paid through my membership.

So I logged out and came back in to Ticketmaster and this time selected member upgrade, entering my two barcodes. I then selected one of the "free" options which were either "Premium" on L3 or "General" on L3 (Premium simply being the first 3 rows, but both at no extra cost).

The problem was that I could no longer choose which Bay I wanted to sit in. I was offered two seats on the flank on the north side, chose search again and was offered two seats on the flank on the south side. But then when I repeated the "search again" another 10 times, I was simply re-offered the same pair of seats on a flank on the north side, then the south side, etc.

It simply stinks that members get a worse deal than the general public when it comes to choosing our seats. Clearly Ticketmaster has the capability to allow individuals to select their own Bay, but has only enable this option for the general public.

Whose desk do we need to escalate this issue onto to get some (any) traction on changing this?

That is just friggin outrageous and you now have the smoking gun as evidence , although I imagine it’s a highly repeatable test.

I suggest you write to the club and tell them it’s an utter disgrace. Ask them if they are going to stand up for their members.

I’ll bring pitchforks and flambeaux if reinforcements are needed.

I wonder if you could have if you had booked during the members period.

That's an interesting question (and it's an even worse state of affairs if the answer to it is "NO") but the fact that a punter off the street can come in and get a better offering than a paid-up member at any point in time still stinks. Ticketmaster wouldn't be getting much if anything out of sales to members (the tickets are officially sold for $0 but it's possible the ticketing agents get a token payment as a rebate from the club or the AFL for each $0 ticket sold. I don't know). But Ticketmaster definitely get a cut on every ticket sold to the general public.

At the very least, once the members' windows have expired club members should be offered tickets through the same seat selection algorithm as the general public.

I imagine if challenged they'll come up with some paternalistic BS like "oh we thought all members would want to be seated together". Well we're all adults and can make our own minds up about that thanks very much.

Yeah but it’s changed the last couple of weeks to you can choose an area.
As a member? I think you mean as a general public purchase. As a member, all I could choose was level and "premium" within that level (this week's ticketing).

FWIW I tried booking 2 tickets (I member, 1 non-member) last night and got L3 Row P Aisle 27. I tried again and got row R aisle 27.

Thought I'd leave it until today and now I'm being offered row Q aisle 21 (ie pretty much equivalent seats but in the other Lockett-end pocket).

Think I'll leave it until later this evening i.e. less than 24 hours to the game, to see if it has changed again. At a pinch any of those seats will do but it's an interesting experiment to see if they suddenly find me some better seats. And in the unlikely event that I miss out I'll just go to the nearest sports pub (we're staying near High St in Northcote this week, any recommendations where is best to watch?)

Doing the Joe Public method I can get tickets in rows K,L,M and N in roughly equivalent aisles at the Lockett end. All for the same price I'd be paying for Mrs dw's ticket (so I'm comparing apples with apples).

So the general public get offered seats that are 4-6 rows in front of the ones I'm being offered as a member. :madv1:

If you want bigger screens go to the Peacock, however the crowd and vibe leaves a lot to be desired IMO.
I'd prefer Northcote Social Club, much better pub, smaller screens scattered around but at least one will have the game on. May have to ask staff.

I’ve got 2 x Medallion Club tickets for sale to tonight’s game against the Saints. No car pass.
Front row level 2 in aisle 4 (forward pocket).
Incredible view, best seats I’ve sat in.
Paid $180
Looking to get $160 or thereabouts.
Let me know if anyone is interested or want to discuss.

I don’t think you need to organise a pub, mate. There will be 25,000 spare seats.

You're right of course.

Mrs dw decided not to go anyway. Tried again just for my members ticket and they still had me in Row Q (but this time at the Coventry end). Tried again and BANG, suddenly I'm in row B back at the Lockett end.

Shonky as, but I'm in and happy enough with that.

I'll be writing to the club through the week to vent my displeasure and suggest they insist on better treatment for members in the future. Hopefully in 2022 member entry won't have to be done through Ticketmaster.

Tickets for this week's match are released tomorrow (Tuesday).

Depending if you're category 1, 2, or 3, on sale times are 1300, 1500 or 1700hrs.

Tickets released to general public 9am Wednesday.

Hi All I don't post here much anymore, but was wondering as a member how do I go to this game? This will be my first game in 3 years.

I have a Bronze 6 membership, but there's conflicting and confusing info on what I need to do. You used to be able to just scan your card on the day, but now I have to book seats or something? I can't even find where to do that.

I just don't want to miss out. Any help appreciated.

edit: it seems all my questions are answered here: https://www.westernbulldogs.com.au/news/944005/ticketing-tips-home-member-access-for-round-11
it still isn't clear about what my membership barcode is for? Do they email the tickets or do I have to use some shitty app?
