Some of you guys have no idea between the difference in sprinting 100m and looking quick on the footy oval.

Davey would win by a mile hes easily the quickest in the comp

I guarantee you that James Walker would beat Davey fairly easily over 100m. As the above post says: Fast on the footy field and fast over a 100m athletic sprint are two completely different things

Exactly.

As a sprinter i'm a dead set hack but put a ball in front of me, goals in sight and someone chasing i seem to find an extra few seconds.

Walker is a national class sprinter, with times in the 10.4s from what i've heard. He'll win every year he goes in it i think.
Whilst James has at least got a reasonable sprinting and starting technique neither he nor any other footballer is a national class sprinter. James' pb is 10.9 hand held for the 100m at the Ballarat combined school championships.

Was at Federation Square on Tuesday when Deledio was being interviewed and he confirmed that he will be running the Grand Final Sprint.

Lovett would have to be in the top 3 quickest in the comp you would think and apparently Ricky Dyson beats him in the 100m!
Lovett is reasonable over about 60m. He won a professional footrace (70m novice) off about 7.75m but his time wasn't that great.

Sean Rusling with a PB of 10.67 would have a strong crack at making a national final.

Guide me to the relevant site that shows an electronic time of 10.67 and I might agree that he would make a national u20 final.

cupido has represented essendon the last 2 years in it but it looks like he's finished at the club so dont know.

would think it would probably be out of winderlich or lovett but reynolds, dyson, nash and stanton all have pace so who knows. lovett-murray possibly.

According the the power website, pearce recorded the fastest ever time at the national draft camp, can only hold him in good steed :)

dyson will go alright, apparently faster than lovett over a certain distance.

surprised they didnt go with winderlich though.
