Not much Connors can do about it. Essendon offered them 11, they rejected it, now they're scrambling to get 13 off a third party.
He can get Geelong involved as the Bulldogs would deal with us (something like 19 and 22 for stringer and 28 or 19 and our 2018 r2 for stringer and 28 they would probably take) but he and jake may not be of interest to us anymore.

Connors should have not come out all guns blazing and focused on getting a deal done.

not well handled at all
I'd love to get it done for 19 and our second or third next year.
I still believe Danger and Stringer and Ablett alternating in that forward line would cause some carnage. Along with Menz, Hawk and Cocky, Parfitt, McCarthy, Gregson, Parsons combination.
Would make us more of a contender in my books

They will take 25 and 30 before they take Stringer back, IMO.

Further to this the dogs are unlikely to use more than 3 picks (list spots) so 9 25 28 and 30 means they don't use 30.

Which is why the dogs were trying to get WCE involved. Either ess trade 2018 r1 (helps dogs re list spots) or they trade 25 and 30 for 1 higher pick. Carlton would probably do 16 (if they get it) for 25 and 30 but if the Gibbs deal falls over then Stringer may be stuck at WB.

True. A deal will get done regardless though because his position is untenable. Pick 25 on its own is a better result for Western Bulldogs than keeping him, IMO. I just hope we don’t get involved.

What's happened todays guys? Quick recap If possible.
Clubs got some minor deals done.

Balic to Dees cheaply.
Wigg to the Suns.
Looks like the Stringer deal will fall through (lol Dodo).
looks like Gibbs will go to the Crows.
Lang has chosen the Blues as his club so we’ll get chump change.
Cats and Suns have met today and now looks like it will be a picks deal not players.
