The Age reporting Carl offering Pick 40 for Lang.

Yay.

Realistically they have absolutely nothing else to offer. Still reckon he should push for an upgrade of Pick 19 or 22 to 16 which they get for Gibbs.
They also need a suitable pick for Kennedy who is valued higher than Lang.

Doesn't ring a bell. Whatchagot?
Geelong Gaelic football club was approached by Geelong FC to see if they'd be interested in helping them I guess settle in and not feel so homesick by having the chance to be around other Irish lads. Might have also been seeing if the local Irish community had any work for them.

I think they think GWS will accept Adel's Future 2nd that they are angling for. That seems way overs for me so hopefully that bit falls over and they entertain 22 or 16. That would get them both players.

Good on Darcy for not letting a club trying to ditch him dictate where he'll play next year. If he doesn't want to go to the GCS, then tough shit Geelong.
Not trying to ditch him. He wants to leave. Club more than happy to hold on to him. Get your facts straight.

Where do we stand in the background with Stringer?

is 19 of interest to them?
Is Stringer of interest to us for that?
We could get Stringer if we wanted to, but I don’t think we are interested in him anymore.

Something happened, whether that missed meeting is true or not who knows, but even though Stringer still hasn’t nominated a club, he seems pretty keen to get to Essendon, but he wouldn’t be the first player not to get to the club they prefer.

Has anyone posted anything previously about Geelong FC bringing over a bunch of Irish kids to train them up for AFL outside of the normal system?
I know there is one Irish kid that a number of clubs had their eyes on, who supposedly is considered a special breed but I can't for the life of me remember his name.

Well if that happens I hope they have a good plan to fix him.
I want him. There are good reasons to leave him alone, but he's a risk with a potential massive upside.
I dont think our list in its current state is good enough to be a threat next year. His best form is outrageous enough to make us a contender.

No offence but how could you possibly know that.

He wants to play at Ess. Why is that so hard for ppl to stomach. If he wanted to play at Geelong then we'd have him by now. I fear for a few of you guys' ex-missus'

Age also reporting that as of tonight the Cats would not trade out either 19 or 22 for the veteran Ablett.

Still didn't rule out a pick swap of one of those picks
Surely the Suns know if they dont do a trade he will hang up the boots... looking good on our end if we trade that pick 35

Upcoming. I think he's only 18 or 19. Considered the best young prospect in Ireland. They were fearful the AFL were going to poach him.
