Troy is worth a serious look, needs a good culture and his brother would help motivate him to reach his potential.
Yeah I'd look to get Troy in and sign Dan for 2 years on the same coin he was on this year. If you told me at the start of the year that he'd kick 40 goals I'd be pretty satisfied. Yet he's on the chopping block despite 2 blokes kicking more goals than him for the year.

Troy will know that this is his last chance and could well be a steal.

I don't know much about Jansen other than he was a tall mid and someone compared him potentially to Joel Corey; why couldn't he make it into our seniors' team?
Thought too much of himself. Too cocksure to be working hard enough. Didnt make it at brisbane. That would have brought him down a peg or two.

can we knock off the feeder club stuff. it makes geelong supporters look like ar**holes like carlton and pies supporters. Is that really what we aspire to?

Adelaides ability to make the GF despite all the players they have lost is an achievement worthy of envy.
And where would the fun be in that?

I’d have a look at Troy. Didn’t cut it at Carlton, didn’t cut it at Adelaide, his brother is at Geelong (hopefully stays), get him down there, he will know it’s his 3rd club and LAST CHANCE at the big time.

Just get him in on a 2 year contract $150k a year.

saw more of him when he was at Carlton
yeah he was good
do not know how/why he ended up a the Crows
looks like a career mistake going to the Crows

best for him to go to a club that needs a forward and could get regular games
do not think Geelong is one of them

There's no evidence that suggests Jake Kolodjashnij can't be a great CHB for this club, infact for me the evidence points to him having all the attributes to playing CHB;
- Mobile
- Good size
- Good overhead mark but also has the ability to spoil

Matthew Scarlett is the perfect person to coach him for that position and I think he'd be wasted anywhere else.

think we should try to get Ablett for a trade perhaps Lang
maybe see about Watts, so hard to put a value on him

as for Stringer, very disappointed with his management. Too much publicity and why no decision yet on what club he wishes to go to?

I will choose Watts over Stringer, we will et more years out of him and better corporate image
especially with anti pokers/gaming message

I too would be very surprised if Gardner is delisted. I have seen him play quite a few good games - some on experienced AFL listed forwards.
I also suspect he has a contract but I am not sure.

The point I was making is that the club knows best and after two years should know whether a player has the goods. Circumstances may mean three years are needed (illness or injury) but the club is learning to churn IMO. We have had a big turnover last year and another is in offing.

Its a pity obviously talented players like Gregson and McCarthy get injured and demand more time without being able to produce. All the rookies (2017) have shown some good form or at least (in Henry's case) some good signs over a shorter period. Cornell just got the one year.
Yeah it's interesting. I think in part it has come down to who the FOM is. Balme preferred stability and wasn't in favour of large list culls. Hocking was the opposite and was more inclined to want to turn the list over rather than sitting back and giving the kids more time to develop. It will be interesting to see what Lloyd will bring to the table and whether he will want to continue to turn the list over heavily or whether he is more in favour of stability and patience. I'm hoping that he ends up being somewhere in between his two predecessors to be honest.

I read an article recently stating that McCarthy and Gregson were both progressing well and are on track to complete a full pre season so let's hope that they can have a little bit of luck go their way and give us a couple more options heading into 2018.
