Stringer isn't going there for their "leadership". Dog's would be talking to Wells in order to play us off against the Bombers in an attempt to get maximum value for their player. There is nothing unusual about that. If we're offering more in a trade than what the Bombers are they'll probably try to pressure Jake into coming to play for us instead. It's all just one big game and the loser is the one that blinks first.
From a supporters POV following all of this trade stuff is rather futile, but geez it's entertaining!
