I always wanted to pick him up, to be honest. Would be very happy to get him now. But in saying that, there’s obviously something very wrong with his attitude, and only he can fix it. You’d think he’ll get 1 more chance somewhere.
You would have an attitude with ricciuto and jarz in your ear. Just to realise your intelligence still exists

Really ironic that you should say that with your user name.

Try looking without prejudice, Hall can actually play the game & kick goals.
Yep Hall can certainly play allright. Can be devastating when up and about.
The Rabbi's trying to get Goldstein across on a very frugal contract.

Manchester United, Juventus,
Troy is worth a serious look, needs a good culture and his brother would help motivate him to reach his potential.
Saw him a fair bit in the SANFL this year and has all the skills in the world but is lazy and selfish. Spends half the game walking around with his hands on his hips. Shows no defensive capabilities whatsoever and refuses to chase or tackle

Runs in the family then.

Where do we sign?

Add to that having idiot fans always talking to you whenever you go anywhere.
Having to listen to that idiot Rowe on the radio.
Having to go to Westlakes every 2nd day.
No wonder their players want to leave

Fairy nuts. Good to hear from someone who's actually seen him.

Isn't that the reason we haven't re-signed Menzel yet, that the contract offered was significantly lower than what he was on this year & why he fell out of favour and the top 20 at the Carji?

I know some like to take pot shots at Scott & co, but it's getting beyond a joke with some of the crap being sprouted

Ok, Rab is 1 of the posters here that I have respect for.

Goldy, no, I don't think so. When did we become a retirement village for Nth.?

Agree. The only reason they haven't announced it is they must be concerned the bombers can't make it happen... although it's still a little unusual for the doggies list management to talk to wells yesterday...
Maybe, but my guess is that they haven't announced it yet because they're giving Geelong the wknd to up their offer and get closer to Stringer's asking price. Make no mistake, this is about money. Stringer isn't going there for their "leadership". Half of their team are convicted drug cheats for crying out loud and their current coach allowed a rife drug culture to exist for years at his former club. Please Jake, spare me...

Dog's would be talking to Wells in order to play us off against the Bombers in an attempt to get maximum value for their player. There is nothing unusual about that. If we're offering more in a trade than what the Bombers are they'll probably try to pressure Jake into coming to play for us instead. It's all just one big game and the loser is the one that blinks first.

From a supporters POV following all of this trade stuff is rather futile, but geez it's entertaining! :D

That's business isn't it. As fierce as the rivalry is onfield, it seems the relationship n dealings offield is respectful. Regardless of adl losing out bt in both transactions, all beit they didn't see the lever one coming of soughts

It's more damning about the retention of their club and the assessments of their recruiters.

I hope you're wrong in saying it's about money, Of course I want the best for us, if Jake doesn't see what is in his best interests and goes for the 'glitter,' good luck to him as a person, not an AFL player.

Yeah, good lord. If anyone here enjoys watching car crashes go over to the Lever thread on the Adelaide board. Man, it's nasty. I mean real nasty. They're melting like butter at the moment and it is indeed, deliciously glorious. :D

After all of the players that they've lost and they still haven't learned a thing. It couldn't have happened to a nicer bunch either...

Just on Hall, it's difficult I think to get a real feel for what he'd be like in a different environment.

GC hasn't had the best coaching and culture in place. The knock on Dixon was that he was a bit lazy too, look at him after a couple seasons at Port.. he single handedly tried to win them their elimination final against West Coast. Can't help but feel that Matera at Freo or West Coast is going to go on to great things, has plenty of talent. Bennell isn't the best example but then Hall doesn't have Bennell type issues.

Could be a great addition to our relatively one-paced midfield.
Look Hall at his best is a good player and we do need outside wingers/goalkicking HFs so he fits that. And he gets on well with Ablett and Smith so i would guess is willing to come to Geelong.

My issue is a player who works hard on field but has lazy prep and lifestyle off it (reportedly this is watts) can often be turned around by seeing how guys like danger and selwood live 24/7 etc (learn life skills) whereas i think its harder to change someone who is lazy on field (hall seems like this to me) as sometimes they just don't have the drive/hunger to win and succeed. His best is very good but that would be my concern with hall.
