I can see Zuthrie on the bench as a rotation. I probably rate Zuthrie just slightly ahead of Parfitt too...Bold call I know.
That is super dooper bold! Not saying you won't end up correct but I wouldn't be swapping Parfitt for almost any first year player in the whole comp

Yeah the Zuthrie call is a big one, but if he can fill out a bit more, I can see a very well balanced player - composed, clean mark, good kicking depth, excellent play reader. Parfitt is good too, don't get me wrong. Zuthrie and Parfitt have better upside than say Parsons IMO.

Massive call. He was really far better than I expected in terms of composure but I still don't have him best 22 yet until he's stronger. Oddly though I think he was developing and showing more in the seniors than in the VFL. Personally I'd like to see he, Henry, Simpson, Jones etc start to dominate the VFL comp more next season. Learn to get big numbers of ball and own the game.

Backs: Stewart, Taylor, Kolo
HB: Tuohy, Henderson, Bews

I like the speed of this backline. Bews and Kolo have been given time elsewhere which has improved their ability to run of their players. They are much better attacking players than a year ago. I'd rotate Thurlow through that backline too, then start giving a couple of games to Gardner this next season to see if he's as our Lonergan-esque replacement.

Probably still need to draft a Henderson backup and/or if Blicav can be remade (one last time??) for CHB depth developing in the VFL.
would be faster if cocky there instead of kolo

you pick one

Don't under sell Parsons, tired in the latter half of the season, but I expect he will develop into a wreaking ball type player with another couple or 3 seasons under his belt and another 8 or 10 kgs.

Maybe, but my guess is that they haven't announced it yet because they're giving Geelong the wknd to up their offer and get closer to Stringer's asking price. Make no mistake, this is about money. Stringer isn't going there for their "leadership". Half of their team are convicted drug cheats for crying out loud and their current coach allowed a rife drug culture to exist for years at his former club. Please Jake, spare me...

Dog's would be talking to Wells in order to play us off against the Bombers in an attempt to get maximum value for their player. There is nothing unusual about that. If we're offering more in a trade than what the Bombers are they'll probably try to pressure Jake into coming to play for us instead. It's all just one big game and the loser is the one that blinks first.

From a supporters POV following all of this trade stuff is rather futile, but geez it's entertaining! :D
The Bulldogs have come out late last week on the offensive and have said he's worth a top 10 pick. That's nothing to do with the Cats, that's the bombers being told that it's pick 11 or he stays.

Meanwhile, the bombers used their mouthpiece sponsor, the Hun, to air Jake's dirty laundry to lower his price.

Geelong are helping the Dogs out, but I don't think our leadership was impressed with Stringer and want him.

Dangers commentary on Watts and Stringer coming to the Cats is like chalk and cheese.

Cocky shipped to the backline would be a terrible idea I think. He already had a stint there and it wasn’t grand. He needs to be in the midfield, build on the tank and just make it his own.
Cats need Dangerfield in the middle and also forward. Cocky is the closest thing we have to Danger so he can alternate with Paddy.

The Adelaide bid might snare us an end of first round pick.....
That really would be something. Motlop is gone. If we got pick 18/19 for it that would be a huge result go our way this post season. 650K for 4 years @ 26 would be mighty close I reckon. The AFL will screw us though as they want a natural cycle.

Rockliff will push our picks down as well.

Pick 19 and say 22 in the draft really gives Wells something to work with. He's picked some gems with those early second rd picks in the past.

As we aren't getting Stinger both those picks are a must to stay not matter which B grades we get in

He looked great in the forward line against Carlton until he did his hammy. He was just too quick off the first 10 for his opponents. I like him as a leading option in a forward line that is really very stagnant.
