I hope your rite Jimmy but some how i reckon money talks. But Macke, Lonergan, and if Motlop and Menzal and trade couple of young ones plus delist a couple lol plus im sure payrd for Smedts 1st year at Carlton. You would think there be a bit of coin for Stringer. And you wouldnt know if they help with a so called sponsorship..

Well, actually Barett had us in front because of it. Guess we'll see how it pans out.

I'd consider offloading Blicavs if it means we get GAJ and some juicy draft picks or another decent player off the GCFC list.

Blicavs has some currency, and I think without him we could add more pace in the midfield. Nonetheless, it would also mean we need to play a Ruck/Forward for next year, eg Blicavs or Stanley.

Btw, if we lose Motlop, then we go for a Smith and/or Stringer, and draft this guy for midfield depth and speed, using a mid range pick:

Stringer is just not that good I dont consider him to be a big fish at all all his plaudits are based on 1 season he's next 2 seasons have been very poor and Mots may just need a change of scenery to keep him fresh, it happens.
I would get rid of Menzel just doesnt suit our style of play and we are better off having a 2nd rd pick in 2018
I think maybe Stringer needs a change of scenery.
I think most of Motlops plaudits are based on one season (and 2 good finals).
And I don't think we are getting a second round compo for Menz.

But the rest I completely agree with:drunk:

I agree Blitz isn't un-tradeable esp given we have basically three semi defensive mids in him, SScotter and Guthrie. However he is still improving and it would have to be a very good deal. His versatility offers us so much

If they threw in KKolo or Rory Thompson then you'd look at it

But for just Ablett..seriously

im pretty sure motlop agreed in principal to go to port 2 or 3 months ago and im pretty sure geelong are fully aware of this when it happened
Chris Scott's comments on 360 on Monday night would cast doubt on that. My understanding is Mots is looking around because we deferred contract talks until the season is over.

Agree that if he goes Port would be the likely destination, but there's a lot to play out before that is done and dusted I think.
