I must say i find this rockliff thing really odd. If he was going to stay i reckon he would have signed.

Carlton have aggressively traded out older guys for younger ones why would they target a 27yo on 800k?

And i doubt port can afford all of motlop rockliff and watts (considering they have hartlett and lobbe on big long term deals and they will find it hard to get rid of them).

I don't expect he will come here but i find it really odd which clubs he is linked to.

There's more to it and I'm shattered he's leaving. The club, the leadership group and more specifically the fans are to blame in this.

Let's hope he's treated with respect at Port.
What constitutes more? My understanding is a club can't enter into any any sort of agreement with a contracted player. And according to Jake Niall more than one club is interested in Mots.

Care to speculate on those deals.... and who they will involve
Ablett will be done pretty early or not at all (depending on GC's attitude).

Smith will be a fairly straightforward swap for an early mid 20s pick.

From there we will see but it helps that we are a destination club.
Still a few quite good players likely to be available at trade time but i reckon we might trade for one or two lower profile players that no one has talked about.

Most of our starters are contracted so we will have some choice there and always good players on the market.
We might keep Menz but Mackie, Domsey, Lang and Motlop are gornn.

We can say who cares but Stringer allowed us to play Harry back and would have kicked 300-400 goals over the next decade for us. Disappointing Miss

Craperi has already been ruled out by the club.

Still a bit to play out re Stringer. Once again media are going the early crow without any solid indication one way or another
Very rare for a media person to be that definitive. Usually they leave some wriggle room.

Still a bit to play out regarding Stringer, when it was announced he would be up for trade, Geelong was all the talk, now it's been reported Essendon will be the one he picks, just have to wait and see what he himself says, right now you'd have to say he will nominate Essendon.

If that's the case, it's all over as we can't compete with the bombers and the Dogs would much rather get their pick.
