I think he got a bunch of concussions - or a least more than 2 - and he might be coming back after that.
Regarding do we want him - im not sure you can ever have too many quality defenders... but with the emergence of Henry right now.. it would take a lot to convince me that KK is a better long term and cheaper HBF than Henry right now....

GO Catters
The head issue is a long term worry for him

Its a demonstration of draft V development and then the luck of injuries. It wasn't that long ago when he was the hot one of the two... How many good young players get used as cannon fodder because they go to a club that down the bottom end.

We have Thurlow , 2E and Stewart... not sure there is a spot for him now.

I won't be the least bit surprised if KK ends up at the Cats next year mate.

Really Stan? I wouldn't have thought he (as a player type) would be high on our priorities .. but we will see I guess.
A player that can run well and kick the ball well? Definitely! I wouldn't be surprised if he's playing in the reserves because the club already knows that he is on the way out...

Id say he would be a reasonable gamble at the right price..because I think he has lost his way up there. Could he overcome all that Gold Coast experience and become good in our best22? Not sure. What would you pay for him?

That's a tough question at the moment... I'd say he'd be worth a pick in the 30's currently but you and I both know that if we want him and we think that we can get the best out of him we would be willing to pay a little bit more than that.

To Freo for an early pick.
I think we have slightly missed each other thoughts here. So I will try again.

Max King ..would I like him ..sure would ..What would he cost? Not sure something in the top 10.

Trading Kelly to Freo for P10... gets us close but does it get us MKing? Id not be confident that would get us Max King. It might ... but I suspect it might require another trade to get earlier.

So targeting a specific player like MKing is something that would seem to fit the concept of mid drafting trading. We have P10 and MKing is still there at 7 .. perhaps we have already worded up the team with P7 , they want another player not MKing .. they agree to trade 7 for 10 and and something to get MKing.

It really depends on what teams are ahead of our pick and what are their needs.

If he can’t get a senior game, and especially if he is out of contract, he is not worth much in trade value ie darcy lang, shane kerstan value. Not in the 30’s, more like the 50’s i would have thought.

Would they trade him for that ..? 30-40? Stewart cost us 40...

Do a thorough medical (of course we would).
Of course... the query id have is it likely to effect their game..
Others would be able to judge them but Max was more the forward and Ben was down back but now forward... the highlights I've seen they seem tall leaper rather than relying on agility so one would think Max should be all OK. I have an issue on Maxs kicking but he is good overhead...Ben may even appeal to us more

see what you think...

I reckon his knee might throw a few clubs off. Pick 7 is possible, who knows.

Talls quite often drift anyway ... Look at any draft and some tall talked about as really early somehow goes later ... so add the knee for sure 7 is possible ..could be later ..it depends on the form of other players.

I hope you're right but I don't think that the Suns will let him go that cheaply mate. They've invested alot in him and they'll want something back for it I reckon. His talent is unquestioned. The GC Suns aren't us... They don't deal in the same way.
