It’s all worked out ok though hasn’t it? Caddy is playing well and has a premiership. While geelong have Menegola playing a similar role and Parfitt deleoping very well as the player picked with the caddy trade.
Yes. For both parties. And that's actually the way to always look at this - if you want to move forward and aim for success. Dwelling on the past is a waste of time.

What would Darcy Moore be worth ? Pickering says more than Swans interested.
I think late first rounder is his market value. Pies have atrocious KPP so warning bells that they have left him out a lot recently. I think he wants to go to the swans for "lifestyle reasons" though. Gone from pies for sure, that was some Gablett style stuff not bothering to go and sit on the bench after doing his hammy.

In truth I wasn't asking any more than what do we think he would be worth. For us , I'd sort agree with Pure's estimation. He was a very early pick... P8? .. Im not sure id want to give what the Pies would want.

They'd want a R1 min. If our R1 was say 14-20 I'd do it but I'd want a thorough medical (then again Coll has a poor record with soft tissue injuries so he might be less injury prone at another club). Tom McDonald as an FA might be a good cheaper option (although he might only come if we take his brother too).
I think we have gone from ultra urgent to mildly urgent based on Savs form. Yet he is so raw ..he needs plenty of development but boy that mark and goal last week was a honeydripper. So Im not sure I really want to add a McDonald .. id like to add another kid that can have some time in the twos and be ready a bit like Sav has maybe 2021... Obvious TmcD is a FA so he might tempt.

Separate issue..
Listen to CalT on RoadtotheDraft .. it seems TThomas may get a bid right in the range of Norths first pick... 5-10... Which would make North use their R1 pick ..
I wonder if North would be interested in a R1 pick swap. I wonder if we could trade our 2019 R1 for their 2018 R1 .. perhaps adding a bit of icing . If they have P10 this year and we say next year we have P15 (1395<>1112 .. a diff of 283.. a P48) Perhaps we have to add a player

Love to focus more on "honeydripper" but perhaps leave that for another day...

Yes the rise of Sav has put the second key forward back a little so lets hope he keeps improving.

Like the Kangas trade idea. North will feel a little robbed with Blakey choosing Sydney so this might give them a little something for nothing so to speak. Will be interesting to see where Scott decides as Kangas could've scooped the pools if they had've got Blakey, Thomas and Scott in the one draft.

The other one I'd look at would be Tom Lynch (Adel) (i think GC Lynch is unattainable for us) with Walker and Jenkins on long term deals and Fogarty coming on and really good SA talent in this draft there's every chance Adel are happy to move him on for picks.
For our purposes, Adelaide Lynch is the better Lynch. In fact, he might just be the better Lynch full stop.

Crucial to link up play and attack.

I find it funny that some people are saying the Saints should go for him (and they should) - makes me wonder if he'd be as good as he is if he'd stayed a Saint all this time.

I know Kelly is a better player than Marcus Adams, but he also wanted to go back home to WA after one year, but he was locked in a 2 year contract at the time. He's still a bulldog.

So, I'll give Kelly and his partner two years at the Cattery, and we'll see if he stays. I reckon he might, and well, we hold all the cards here.

The only issue is the amount of points North may need... as they may want to trade their R1 for point ..it depends on how many FSAc's they take.. I think they had 4 or 5 at one stage

If true, who could this be?
From looking at the list of who is OOC at end of the year, possibly C Guthrie? Henderson? Doubt it could be Menzel at this time of the season? Surely not Zac Smith or Stanley?
My money would be on Guthrie. Great mates with Blicavs as well. Guthrie's old man was the one who put Blicavs on the clubs radar if memory serves correctly.

Still waiting for Kelly to say he hates it here and wants to get out asap. Hasn't happened as far as I know....

I'd be very keen on Darcy Moore. Young KPF's take a few years to really come on. I think there's a lot of improvement left in Darcy and he could really benefit from playing in a good team and getting good ball delivery. Pies have done him no favours moving him all over the ground and their midfield aren't great with their inside-50 ball delivery. I have no doubt we'd trade a first rounder and a sweetener for Darcy if he said he wanted to come to the Cats. This is all moot anyway, I can't possibly see how we could fit him into our cap, unless someone like Cam Guthrie takes up FA somewhere & Stanley traded etc.

I agree.

I also can't see where they play him when he comes back either. I wouldn't be shaking up the backline barring injury. HFF maybe?.
My thoughts exactly. Our back 6 ( 7 really) have been too good for him to come in. He can't get a run in the midfield, and he's not really a forward. Unless we have injuries, touch wood, i'd leave him in the vfl.

Surely Guthrie could replace one of cunico, Murdoch or parsons? I’d prefer Guthrie down back but on a wing helping out down back I think he’d offer more than that trio. He should have to play some vfl to earn his spot and make sure he’s match fit though.

Fogarty will replace parsons, and murdoch will probably be dropped too, especially once parfitt and menzel are back. Cunico maybe but i'd prefer to play him over guthrie.

Guthrie imo. Good friends with Blicavs and our only reasonably high profile ooc player this year (stanley etc not high profile and clubs wont risk big $ on menzel).
