No..next years draft. Walsh and Henry....
betchsta ohh forgot ... Copper Stephens of course ..
late pick maybe Jessie Clarke
Gee you wouldn't want to miss the obvious all over again!
Worpel was Selwood replacement if there ever was.
LOL... I thought FOG was... most likely is actually.
But thanks for your Hindsight... Harry.
You can take from that Wells didn’t think the talents were equal.Thats fair again.. I really like worpel bottom age.. top age he had a more reserved year... but as I said.. if we just looked at it as two rep players on a similar level..one a Geelong kid who capt the falcons ..one a melb metro kid... we built our flag era based around..if the talents were about equitable we go local.. as with Bartel , Ling etc.
F*** why is so much of the discussion on here about a player we didn’t draft?
Every club has chances to draft these players. Why is our board so fixated on missed chances?
We have drafted very well over the last couple. The youth we have is outstanding when you look at what picks we’ve had available.
Esava, Henry, O’Connor, Narkle and Miers rookie or late picks. And we’ve done well with our early to mid picks as well.
It’d be nice to catch them all but that won’t happen rather than worry about the past let’s look at our future.
Picks from this year to compliment our youth should set us up. They still have quality stars to learn the game from.

Maybe. Too early to say for sure.Well he got it wrong!
I can't seem to find it now, but didn't their list manager say he was "worth more than a second round pick" thus signifying they'll only accept a first or a combination of second round picks? Obviously not worth it to us so I'm glad we're walking away from the deal.![]()
Trade Wrap: Lions enter race for star Pie, Cat Steven no certainty
Brisbane has emerged as a contender in the race for Collingwood free agent Jamie Elliott as he continues to ponder his futurewww.afl.com.au
Any potential Jack Steven move from St Kilda to Geelong is "a long way off", Cats list boss Stephen Wells says.
Four-time Saints club champion Steven and his management have met with Wells but he is contracted for next year.

The 29-year-old played only seven senior games this past season as he took extended leave to focus on his mental health.
"If it turned out he came to Geelong, we'd be going in eyes wide open and understanding what that would mean to Jack and what we could expect if Jack did come to Geelong," Wells told Telstra AFL Trade Radio.
"But I think that one has now become a long way off.
"St Kilda, where he's contracted, of course, are a good club and if he ends up playing there, I'm sure they'll be doing everything, like we would, to help Jack get back to being the best footballer he can be and happy in his life."
It's good that Well's is realistic and its aware that it may not happen due to the Saints requirements.
The WCE would do well to learn from this. If they can't afford Kelly, then they should just say so, so that he can choose Geelong or Freo. It's a huge time-waste for everyone if they keep kicking tires, but want a discount.
Lethlean wants a first round pick for Bruce, and mentioned a first round or early second for Steven's. He would probably want a first rounder for the injured-McCartin.I can't seem to find it now, but didn't their list manager say he was "worth more than a second round pick" thus signifying they'll only accept a first or a combination of second round picks? Some translate really well to AFL footy. Worpel actually reminds me of Hodge in personality. And will probably suit their club to a T and end up as their captain in 5 years. You can take from that Wells didn’t think the talents were equal.
Maybe. Too early to say for sure.
Yet he wasn’t drafted until 45. All clubs obviously had their doubts.I'm saying with Worpel at least, the kid was awesome for Falcons and Vic Country.
The knockers just plain dumb.

Took Kelly before him too. I’d say he done ok.Maybe. Too early to say for sure.
