Would you trade Duncan for pick 3? He would be exactly what they need for their midfield. And we could end up with a handful of quality picks to draft and trade. Won’t happen I know but interesting to ponder. If they Cats are poor in the finals adding some high end young talent would appeal.

Its a theroetical discussion as I doubt Duncan will say yes to going to Melb..and I really doubt Geelong looks to drafts picks by weakening the best 22. They are pot committed.

But in theory .. one would want to have a very solid feel for the type of player you were going to get... this year players the 3rd or 4th pick may not be overly different to 8 or 10 ... its not the same as last years draft... probably why Melb would consider trading it. The secondly .. the stage we are in... we are more likely to trade out picks to get PnP player than to go to draft.

If I knew I could trade P3 and our R1 pick for the right player in system ..ie a new Danger 22 to 24 ..then it would be tempting I guess. Duncan is probably as good as he is going to get at 28 etc. Danger is 29 Joel is 31 .... obviously we need a class young add in the midfield.

I would rather get 2 mid Round 1 picks then just a pick 3 as we have 2 shots of both been great player or even just 1.

After watching chook closely last few games in the magoos he is very tradable, just doesnt do enough with his possessions, so either club teach him for another year in the magoos or trade him now

Forget Jack Steven, we should be using the Tim Kelly picks and throwing everything at Jack Martin from the Suns. He's officially requested a trade. He's only 25 next year with the best part of 100-games under his belt. We should be having a massive crack here. Massive.

He hasn't done much in those 100 games, how long can a player last on pre-draft hype alone

On Saturday night I waited until the players walked down the race before I left and one thing I noticed is that after he handed over the signed football, he seemed to take his time to rejoin the player group.

It may mean absolutely nothing, but he seemed to be a guy who wanted to take it all in, just in case it was his last time walking down that race after a match.

He may not have made up his mind yet, but like a good boy scout, "always be prepared"

I just don't see the ready made players to come in anywhere. Cogs signed for GWS. Others are contracted or have been linked to other clubs heavily. In the absence ready made players it's surely draft o'clock
