Goldy might be good for 3 years but he also might decline next year, either way it is a gamble. According to the media he was cooked 2 years ago?

I do like that idea though but with all the c grade rucks we have on our list currently I don’t think we’ll recruit 2 this offseason. Our VFL team has been so top-heavy.

Wellsy just need picks to work with if you look at his history he generally comes good around 50% so give him 8 picks he will nail 4 that will go on to play 100 games, bit of turn and churn is needed...

I doubt it will be 4 unless its a rock and roll contract .. 2+2 type deal rolling into a coaching role

Apparently the knock on him was his disposal wasn't really hurting anyone. Looks worth a shot. Would laugh if we drafted him with a pick we got from Kelly then turned him into an all Australian like Kelly and Stewart

I agree totally but every club is in the same boat, hoping there youth will outshine other clubs youth. It's just a battle of which youth is better

To be fair Chook still needs a lot of work and hopefully another pre season will get him where he needs to go, but he isn't up too AFL standard quite yet...

Out of curiosity, when does a player stop being a kitten is a fully fledged adult footballer?

I wouldn't call any of our recognised rucks as kittens:
Fort - turned 26 last month
Abbott - turned 28 in June
Stanley - turns 29 in December
Smith - turns 30 in February

Unless you are referring to Ratugolea who turned 21 in July; but the question there is if he will continue to play predominant forward & provide relief in the ruck or if he will develop into a #1 ruck
