I still think get in Goldstein for 3 years, get the best Ruck kid in the draft, using 1 of our picks from TK deal, let him do his trade in the VFL, then in his 3rd year his ready to unleash.... SimpleHe definitely won’t be cheap, but I think trading him for kelly and us getting a pick as well would be more than suitable for our needs.
Goldstein might be good for a season or 2, then what? Better off getting a young ruck that we can settle on for 10 years

Goldy might be good for 3 years but he also might decline next year, either way it is a gamble. Goldy won't leave Melbourne because of his kids. We'd probably have to sign Goldy for 4 years on big coin to get him.
He'd be a good get but I dont see why he'd want to leave North to come to Geelong, would think a club like GWS would be more suitable.

Wasn’t he going through a messy divorce?Does anyone know if there was a public reasons for Goldstein's 2018 season? he really did look like he'd hit a wall.

I fear we have missed our time and we need the likes of Fog, Chook, Clark, Narkle, Sav and couple of our 1st rd picks to really step up next year and play all games...Geelong needs an experienced, performing Ruck now. We have three Ruck Kittens, who need time to develop? How far away are they? Goldstein could fill the role.
Chook should have been in all year. Don't care about Scott's viewI fear we have missed our time and we need the likes of Fog, Chook, Clark, Narkle, Sav and couple of our 1st rd picks to really step up next year and play all games...
I agree totally but every club is in the same boat, hoping there youth will outshine other clubs youth. It's just a battle of which youth is betterI fear we have missed our time and we need the likes of Fog, Chook, Clark, Narkle, Sav and couple of our 1st rd picks to really step up next year and play all games...
To be fair Chook still needs a lot of work and hopefully another pre season will get him where he needs to go, but he isn't up too AFL standard quite yet...Chook should have been in all year. Don't care about Scott's view
He was more solid and got the ball a lot more times than those we are using now (other than the usual suspects of course)

Out of curiosity, when does a player stop being a kitten is a fully fledged adult footballer?Geelong needs an experienced, performing Ruck now. We have three Ruck Kittens, who need time to develop? How far away are they? Goldstein could fill the role.
Won’t get Papley unless they cough up. Triggered a contract extension last year apparently.Carlton look to be into Jack Martin and Tom Papley ... one would think they are looking to really make ground next year.
