If i was Geelong i would be concentratiing or paying attention to who currently is the best player in the WAFL and SANFL

When Geelong recruited Kelly i can remember Brad Dalziell ( who played a few years at W/Coast - but alot of years at WAFL level ) tweeted or said - that it is a smart decisionby Geel - because Kelly is easily the best player in the WAFL at present . Harry Taylor- had a couple of years at East Fremantle before Geel used an early pick - so he would have been a highly rated WAFL player at the time

And you can go right back to Glen Kilpatrick - N/Melb under 19s - then to Ess - flicked - went over to SA - won the Margarey Medal - then Geel recruited him - and he was a very good player - penetrating kick ( Fogarty and Parfitt are laughable in that aspect of the game in comparism ) and Kilpatrick had a bit of old fashioned dirt in him as well .

Luke Partington. Magarey medalist this year. 23 yo. Delisted by west coast which provides two bonuses:

1) he doesn't need to go to the draft, we can just sign him
2) on the off chance we put an AA blazer on him the reaction out of the west will be priceless

I know this is another story. But me personally I want us to play 2 rucks each game and keep Sav Rat and Hawkins permanently in the forward line.. except for Richmond 17 & Dogs 16. But all the Premier's in years gone by play 2 ruck...

Dont mind that. Only issue is who isvthe second ruck? I wanted Smith in but he is out of favour and likely gone. You would need another mobile ruck for rotations. If we had have got goldy it would work well.

Given that he has played 11 games and kicked 15 goals in the last two years you'd have to take that and run. Hell of a risk for Sydney.

I have said multiple times we shouldn't have Taylor Hendo and Blicavs in the same side but never called them rubbish.

Hawkins is a champion and i have Sav as my avatar so that shows how i highly i rate him.. I also have hopes for Krueger.

Its the debate over the value of PreAgency. I dont think its a clear right and wrong... but boy down the track some big winners and losers.. The May deal is a classic. May gets trade to Melb as a PFA... Melb give up P6 which becomes Ben King.. May gets to Melb stinks up the season..Melb have a smelly season ... 12 moths down the track... Melb could have had BKing .and now get May for zero.

So it is for us with JS.. what ever we pay is a 12 month cost... but we may look at the cost as reasonable due to our pnp demand and potential loss.

Daniher to Syd. Wait 12 months and Ess get a R1 pick ..no issue.. Maybe P6-P12.. trade now they get P5 and something. Sydney dont need him atm..but want him for a Buddy replacement. They look at who they could get at 5 and say not really a player like JD. It will be interesting to see how it plays out..
