If Crouch costs no trade capital then I think it's a no-brainer. If they want to match walk away.

Sportsday newsbreaker Sam McClure provided an update on several in-demand players, including the likes of Joe Daniher, Adam Saad, Brad Crouch, Jeremy Cameron and Zac Williams.
Healy: Adam Saad, is he leaving and if so where is he going?
McClure: I don’t think we’ll know for another week but I don’t think he knows whether he wants out yet.
Healy: Joe Daniher, is it Essendon, Sydney, Brisbane or an unknown club?
McClure: My money would be on Brisbane.
Healy: Tom McDonald, going or not?
McClure: I honestly don’t know but if he is going, I think non-Victorian clubs will be interested.
Healy: Shaun Higgins?
McClure: Not sure.
Healy: Brad Crouch?
McClure: Sydney or Geelong.
Healy: Ben Brown?
McClure: Collingwood or Hawthorn.
Healy: Jeremy Cameron?
McClure: Staying.
Healy: Nakia Cockatoo?
McClure: Brisbane.

Crouch is a good player and would help our post-Selwood era immensely, but he's a $600k player in our pay structure. There were rumours last year he was shopping himself to Gold Coast for $900k or thereabouts. If he wants a big payday to leave the Crows he will be better off looking elsewhere.
Hearing the deal is done. Dont know any details though
Crouch to the catsWhich deal?
What was John Ralph saying on the subscription Q and A hour on the HS website if anybody has access
Q: Hi JR, any word on Quinton Narkle? I hear Carlton are keen?
A:I think he would be worried if Crouch and or Viney came in and pushed him further out of contention. He might get another year. He is out of contract. I asked about him yesterday. The answer was that with lists shrinking and with teams not having money, if he got another year he might stay. When someone previously asked about small forwards could consider I wondered if he was the kind of gettable player who could play as that pressuring, creative forward. But your mail might be right, I just haven't heard it
Q:Saints said they have a ‘war chest’ earlier this year, but they don’t seem to be linked to many names outside Caldwell? Desperate for some mid depth, what do you see them doing?
A:The Saints were keen on Crouch but he seems off to Geelong. Caldwell is a contender, but remember we have 6 weeks before the trade period. And 300 players out of contract...blah blah blah
Q:Ralphy, will Jack Viney stay or go?
A:Surely he stays. Surely. But the fact he is being linked to clubs, isn't totally happy with everything at the Demons and has some rival player managers (who are great gossips and speak to a lot of people) saying they think he will leave should be cause for concern. He did say he "absolutely" wanted to stay when asked on radio last week. But then again GWS said they were very confident Williams would stay on Friday night and by Monday he was out of there
Q:Hey Ralphy. What is the likelihood Brad Crouch ends up at Geelong? Who would they prefer out of him and Jack Viney? Cheers.
A:I reckon Viney is a better player than Crouch. Both probably don't use it that well by foot. But that was an amazing stat this morning with Crouch, Luke Parker and Hugh Greenwood the worst three kicks of the top 100 ball getters. Shows when you get it in close and while you are being tackled, often your kick stats are poor. Asked Champion about his relative kick rating last night, which measures degree of difficulty. Crouch was minus 2.2 which clearly isn't great but it's acceptable. As Garry Lyon says, and he's a big Crouch fan, if he is kicking to Hawkins on the lead or handballing to Guthrie or Menegola on the run, his kick stats look much better. I think he will leave Adelaide, he is excited about Geelong, Dangerfield is trying to get him there, and if the decision had to be made today he would be at Geelong next year. I just know things change so quickly in trade week and there are still five weeks until the start of free agency
Q:Hi Ralphy - why aren't the Hawks interested in the likes of Zac Williams or Adam Saad. Also would Peter Wright be a good fit for the Hawks
A: Two metres, ran like the wind, could take a turn in the ruck. But he's played pretty ordinary footy in the NEAFL this year and he's on massive coin, 600K plus. So only clubs who have watched those scratch matches (which are video-taped) would know if he's still got it. you could get him for a song.
Q: In a trade value, what would Geelong get for Constable as he is still contracted for next year?
A: He is contracted, as is Lachie Fogarty. Constable officially wants out. Not sure if Fogarty does but I can't see him getting chances, especially if Crouch or Viney come in. I reckon you are asking for a later pick. But they have three first-rounders so I wouldn't worry too much about the draft hand. How good for Wellsy to have that arsenal at his disposal. Package them up and get a top-tenner, or take 3 kids who might not have played much this year and get some smokies. Or if you have to trade one for Crouch if they decide to match and then force a trade. I think Adelaide would want Parfitt, having asked about him and Cockatoo this year. But Parfitt wants to stay at Geelong even though he's uncontracted. Cockatoo going to Brisbane
Q: What's the likelihood of Jeremy Cameron leaving GWS and landing at Geelong?
A: I think early in the year it was close to zero. He was happy in Sydney with his partner, he was going to get very well paid again to stay and the Giants were clear flag contenders. Why would he want to leave that situation, especially when he's so close to the waterways where he loves to fish. Now after a torrid season with Zach Williams already gone, surely he's at least considering the Geelong overture. Remember they have been into him for at least a year. He could live in Jan Juc, take his boat out fishing as often as he likes, play up the ground alongside Tom Hawkins, and get to play at a club with very little traffic or distractions and where players are left to do what they want. If Patrick Dangerfield hasn't at least been in his ear with a few phone calls about the Surf Coast lifestyle then Geelong have been negligent. I think it's down to GWS or Geelong. But remember we all said Finlayson was out of there and he just signed a new deal. GWS most often gets their player
I think last minute when he realised he wasnt being rated as highly as he thought he slashed the price to try and push the Gold Coast trade through.
Bloke must be desperate to get out of Adelaide.
Hahndorf is a poor mans BarossaCan't blame him. You can only go to Hahndorf so many times
Would hate to see Parfitt go to Adelaide. Don't think it'll happen and we'd be cutting off our nose despite our face if we did let him go there.
Edit: actually, would hate to see Parfitt go ANYWHERE.

Club's happy with Parfitt and Parfitt's happy with the club. It's not going to happen.
Yeah of course, but justttt in case the reports were near the pin![]()
yep I much prefer us to throw everything including the kitchen sink at getting Jeremy Cameron, he's a certified gun and imagine our delivery to him in the forward line alongside Hawkins and Rohan as well. Please don't get Daniher Geelong.
It's the last thing we need, yet another injury-riddled footballer.
Doesn't get much more confirmed than thisHearing the deal is done. Dont know any details though
