apparently Viney unfollowed Melbourne on Instagram, for whatever that's worth
I think the suggestion was that he removed "Melbourne AFL Player" (or along those lines) from his Instagram profile

The responses I've seen to that he is still following the Melbourne FC, and that like half the Melbourne team don't own up to playing for the Melbourne FC in their Instagram profiles

The rumour started on the "AFL News, Trade Rumours & Results" FB page - from what I read 12 months ago, it's a joke of a page and really what they say with a grain of salt

West Coast & Richmond both out systemed our system with a high press that our backs weren’t good enough to kick through, yes Richmond brought their usual manic pressure that we’ve failed to handle (we’re not alone there though) in the last 3 years, but they turned us over easy from the back.

Personally I think “not turning up to play sometimes” is an over simplification.
Well its a case of what comes first, the chicken or the egg? Clearly, Richmond better on the night, and are probably better overall, which led to their system conquering ours. Doesnt mean we cant best them on a given day. There were multiple instances we fluffed simple passes under absolutely no pressure. Luke Hodge even made a point at quarter time saying that it was odd Geelong were opting to do things they didn't have to do.

That was our worst performance against Richmond since the 2017 qtr final. If you look at our 2018-2019 clashes we weren't too far off. So for a team full of players with poor skills we were only 20 pts off a GF last year. Can't be too bad.

Anyway, this isn't the thread for this. Happy to discuss in DMs.

You should follow the other page, same name without spaces in front of the commas. They mostly just repost his original posts so that all the people he's blocked from the pages can comment.

I got blocked after he posted his "combined best 22" made up of cats and saints players and it was like 90% saints. I simply pointed out the historical win loss and average margin between the clubs going back to the 2009 GF and asked how he logically justified it.

I think a lot of players are unfollowing pages to escape trolls I wouldn't read much into it. That said viney manager didn't sound super committal on him staying.

With brown on the move I wonder if it makes north more or less likely to trade Higgins. Him and Goldy probably regret staying now.

He from what I could see isn’t following the main account.
He does still have his profile photo of him in a Melbourne jumper though.
Until that changes I’m not getting my hopes up

I agree but we smashed Richmond in contested possession so effort wasn't our problem system and disposal quality was.

If we lose Parfitt then we've got a serious problem, both in the sense of culture (we want essential players to want to stay) and of football: he was fantastic on Sunday when the game wasn't going our way, when others with much bigger reputations weren't doing anything like the level of work off the ball.

Brisbane board seems very confident on Cockatoo ... makes sense he teams up with the bloke who had the locker next to his at Geelong.

Can't help wondering whether it's better medical staff that's made the difference to McCarthy, age, or weather. Or some combination of those?
Turn it up Cockatoo
Wines to Carlton, B.Crouch to Port?
Why do you leave a club in flag contention to Carlton, you would be crazy.

Much rather Narkle than Higgins

Me too but he is OOC and we can't guarantee him regular games if another club offers him that and more money he probably won't want to stay.

At that point the question then becomes would you prefer the pick in the 40s we'd probably get for him or Higgins?

Mitch and Jay Clark have the best GFC club info so it’s a relief to hear the Cameron is still absolutely the main priority and that we still haven’t been told no.

My assumption is giants need to know which of their other players are leaving before they finalise their offer to Cameron.. or maybe he has both offers (theirs and ours) and is undecided?

They haven’t got the money for Daniher surely! Tell them they are dreaming. Even if they have the money, which I doubt, do they have the draft picks Essendon will want when they match the offer?

Brisbane have lots of cap space And 2 late R1s (theirs and port) so I reckon they can get it done.

Can we chase better draft picks since so many clubs have NGA this year and move some of our later picks as a package

Potentially I think it depends on whether we just bring in free agents or trade out picks for players and where we sit after that and what club's are prepared to do pick trades (might not happen until draft night).

Absolutely the golden get.
Anything post that just a bonus
Set us up for years provided we get a quality ruckman

Given we had a big crack at Goldy last year I think the club will try for another ruck this trade period. Agree with all of your post.

If Cameron does want to come to us, nothing will be announced until we are out of the finals. Absolute best case scenario, we win the flag and then Cameron comes out and says “Make me a cat” 😁😁

He must seriously be considering leaving GWS though.
Something is going on. He is just too figure it out later and even the leak they are ages apart, makes me think, he is positioning himself. Not sure its Geelong but its weird and gamely.

That being said it could just be his agent trying to fist GWS hard on a new contract.
