maybe they think schlensog and deKonning will fill the void with Ratagolea and greek freak heading up the tail
We are going to need SdK down back in the near future and Schlensog isn't any better than Fort

No the AFL has stated many times they deliberately won't give the formula out as they don't want this type of thing to happen. They won't advise team or give any indications until a contract is signed AND they change the formula every year i.e. I think every year it becomes harder to get a certain band.

Crows are in delusion land. Never thought I'd say Essendon fans are more rational about Daniher than Crows about Crouch.

Yes I know... but this constant barrage of we will match less than band 1 is not just coming from big footy dies hards..its printed in media. As I have said before plenty of teams have been disappointed to find out what they get after choosing not to match... So I suspect if the offer is in the range of what has previous delivered band 2 then they will use that as a guide..

Yes, I'm a north fan and laughed at that. I'm sure a lot of Collingwood supporters would approve. Somebody from Carlton is trying to give us Jack Silvagni too but I don't think we are that desperate. I would be more interested in Charlie Constable. I have seen him live a couple of times and wonder why he can't crack a regular spot in your team- is he slow, poor disposal or what?
I’m sure you’ll get some responses saying he’s all of that. In reality, it’s more about the fact he has three AA squad midfielders, Duncan, Selwood and Parfitt ahead of him for a midfield spot and he’s not flexible enough to play anywhere else.

Restricted free agency needs to be removed all together. Do it properly. 8-years of service, you qualify as a free agent and simply move to your club of choice without your current club being given an option to match. Just like the current unrestricted free agent rules. I can see it heading this way, not sure why this "restricted" option was ever really introduced.

A draft ruck will be ready in 2024 and Stanley is 31 we can't wait that long. We need a now option for our window.

Maybe , id say we can get some games earlier than 2024 ... how long ago was TDek drafted ..that would seem a reasonable expectation.. so we get some game 2023.
Now admittedly ... its still leaves us squirming for too long.. so we need to do something in the meantime

Adelaide not putting a contract on the table until they see the compo they get is exactly what's wrong with free agency in its current form. If they matched our offer I'd love to see us call their bluff and let them have him.

It's dumb on their end, by low balling him their killing his bargaining power with any other club who is chasing him, they're just tanking any compensation pick. He could still go to another club via the pre-season draft.

It’s called a compromise.

Was it to appease clubs with FA coming in?

I would not trade any of our round 1s for crouch.

FA or GTFO

Would they really be such a shit stain of a club to match for the sake of pick 20 instead of pick 23 whist causing us to lose a R1 rather than creating one from the AFL... in doing so completely ruining the relationship between clubs... they couldn’t, could they?

The other possibility is North are clearing the decks for Cameron, hence Brown being put on the table and them being open to moving on Higgins etc. They really are desperate for that big fish. I think they need to sell some hope to their supporters, ensure decent membership numbers is maintained as they aren't a financially strong club.

Conspiracy: North know they're being shipped off to Tassie and sold Cameron on the idea of the quiet Tassie lifestyle plus fishing opportunities

Not sure it is really. It would be if we were losing a ruck this year but there’s no sign of that.

You think we will only have 2specialist rucks on the list? I don't. We would have had three if we got Goldy and that need is still the same.
