The assistant / future coach I'd have liked at Geelong is Luke Hodge, but it looks like he is firmly planted in Brisbane and happy with a media role.

Can't see Choco Williams leaving Melbourne or selecting Geelong; he is probably at the age / stage of life that he wants to be associated with teams with a premiership window.

This makes things interesting - Collingwood may not be able to get both through the preseason drafting, so who do they think they can get a trade done for if they can only trade for one and PSD the other?

King is headed to GC in a similar role to what he was doing at the Dogs

Him & his wife are expecting another child and they have extended family in Qld

Please go for draft picks over old blokes for once! Might be a risk given the lack of U/18 footy, but the risk could go up rather than down.... Kind of like trading for old blokes I suppose.

Not opposed to us looking into Ladhams but I haven’t seen any evidence that he’s capable of being a #1 ruck. He seems the ideal second ruck / KPF to me.

King is going to be a senior assistant at GC-seems like his wife has family up there so family reasons are coming into it.

I too would love Choco but unlikely.

I wouldnt mind Sando actually just not as a head coach..as a development coach he is fine.

I mean even in that role he is an upgrade on Sav but really hes had no chance to show he can be no1 ruck with Ryder and then Lycett there..the reality is most rucks you trade in are moving for opportunity so you to some extent have to hoe tjey will grow with that..there are very few proven rucks on the market.

And more to the point, hasn’t been. In the past five national drafts we have taken 23 selections. We will take another four selections this year. It is a core part of the list management strategy but seemingly very poorly understood.
