I genuinely ask because he is never rated in phantom anything yet a few on here keep saying to draft him earlyNobody does, other than a few people on Bigfooty.

He seems to have put on a bit of muscle recently. One more year is worth a shot. They won't get rid of him. His surname will give him a few extra years. I thought in his draft year Kennerly who we had was a better player, and we delisted him after 2 years. I think with the age demographics at the club, Brownless will be on the list for another 2 years is my guess.
He has a massive engine, but apparently he is slow. Not sure if he reads the play exceptional or just average. I thought he was going to be an outside midfielder but if he lacks pace, then maybe a development into an inside midfielder?
Pass if perennially injured.

He had that one breakout game but that's pretty much it. There's so little to go on in this draft that if Dan Gorringe had strung together his draft year games this year he'd go #1 almostNobody does, other than a few people on Bigfooty.

I've got it. Can't Wells just pick out the next Harry Taylor from obscurity (maybe a bit bigger version of HT given the mutant gorillas that exist in 2022) with one of our picks in the 30s? Simples. No Talia. No throwing SDK to the wolves, I mean mutant gorillas.. Everyone happy now?None of those other guys are capable of playing on the gorilla forwards all year if blitz goes down or has to ruck. Thats not depth.
Yeah I agree, just unhelpfully stating the exceptionThat’s the exception, not the rule. I don’t think we can afford to pick a player with that sort of history when our KPD stocks are so thin. I’d prefer to look elsewhere but that’s me.

Won't go in the top 30 I'm pretty confident to say that, is in the next group of probably 50 players fighting for about 25 spots on lists.I genuinely ask because he is never rated in phantom anything yet a few on here keep saying to draft him early
Good to see you sobered up.calder_daddy before you tell me go to bed 1 more time.
I think its worth giving Brownless another year on the rookie list.. he has show heaps this year. He was always going to take a while when he got drafted...
I wouldn't describe Brownless as slow. I only saw him once this year and was impressed - the B&F result suggests it wasn't a one off. They won't get rid of him. His surname will give him a few extra years. I thought in his draft year Kennerly who we had was a better player, and we delisted him after 2 years. Harris Andrew’s and Blicavs are perfect models for this at the moment. There are experienced defenders who usually assist where there are potential one on ones or pack situations. Henry and Stewart lead the way there.
This would allow SDK some leeway in learning to position himself ... not from a strongest man type of situation - but to be able to sit off a little and utilise his reach/athleticism to nullify or win a contest.
That some people don't get this basic premise (that not all back men need to be Mr Universe to play KPD) boggles the mind.
Imagine if Geelong consolidated their picks and moved into the top 10 only to draft a key defender. Imagine the melts!!! LoL
Adelaide would want the world for himShould we have a crack at Fischer McAsey
If we trade up with Gibcus on the board I have no doubt we would pick him.Imagine if Geelong consolidated their picks and moved into the top 10 only to draft a key defender. Imagine the melts!!! LoL
given the holes we have I cant see us trading up at allIf we trade up with Gibcus on the board I have no doubt we would pick him.
I think we need to expose our likely 2023 team to a lot of minutes in 2022 even if we lose a few games because of it. Hit the draft and no free agents over 25. Hopefully nab a ruckman end of next.
We should play occonor as a permanent inside defensive midfielder, he is elite fitness and in the right age profile and I think he has a lot of upside. Give a lot of centre bounce time to Parfitt, Holmes and Narkle. Guthrie and Joel to support and danger to go forward to extend his career and protect his body
Bews. Blitz. Stevens
Henry. SDK Stewart.
Smith. Parfit. Holmes
Evans. Cameron Simpson
Danger. Hawkins. Close
Stanley. Duncan O’Connor
Narkle Joel Guthrie Esava
Cooper Stephens and Miers next in line
Neale - give him a look at AFL for a few games and drop Esava if needed for
Menegola, Touhey Rohan Kolo Higgins- all could get a game instead of some kids above, but really what is the point? At the very least they should halve the games with the kids
If you're talking about looking ahead to 2023 during the 2022 season, then you'll need to remember that a few of the bolded names will be part of the 2023 team - even if some fans will disagree
Kolodjashnij re-signed for 3 years taking him through to 2024, so unless he looks for a trade, he'll be on our list in 2023 and playing plenty of senior football
It'll be the same for Menegola who is a lot better than he's given credit for, and unless injured he'll be a lock in the seniors for the next couple of seasons
I just dont think youll get any bites on our handful of shit picks to be honest.given the holes we have I cant see us trading up at all
Maybe we would have looked at him if he hadn't extended his contract earlier this season
