Bnf has happened so no real hold on it unless the agreed trade scenario is yet to play outI'm finding it interesting that apart from a lot of media hype, Clark (or his agent) hasn't officially asked for a trade.
When do you think this occurs, after the FA allotted period?
I actually would like to hold him because I still believe in the talent but he has to be onboard with what the coaches are asking and what the team overall needs.
Are you taking about Clark here? If he was to sign for the cats I think we'd have no hesitation throwing him a 3 year extension. He publicly asks for a trade and the 1 year deal on the table probably goes.
So they'll quietly look for something, and because nothing is forthcoming he'll quietly sign that 1 year deal and try again next year.
Does not exist as there is no chance it will happen.Where is the source Cam Ling maybe returns as a assistant coach?

Our list demographics suggest we will lose a lot of experience in our midfield - Smith, Duncan, Tuohy - our faster outside midfielders are all in the twilight years... I don't mind getting him on the list at his age if its a packet of chips type trade without compromising our draft picks. He is an outside midfielder, we won't building a midfield around him, he will just compliment it. He has a big engine, is quick, has a good left boot on him, and his footy IQ is better than Murdoch's. He's not a world beater, but in the right system, he might be okay depth for a few years.Don't care that he was dropped. I care that our list has a binary switch between contending with him not being best 22 and playing kids with him not being a player you build around.
There is no plausible argument that tucker would be b22 at the cats in any reasonable scenario
Need a membership drive callingLarry Donohue I'm glad you and I are on the Constable Bandwagon
Wow, going to add thia to my job recruiting interview template! ThxI believe Cats, like most clubs, are on the limit with their salary cap.
With Selwood asked to sacrifice a pay cut to bring in last years trio.
The delisting's to date have been of minimal cap benefit
So I doubt we can afford a money chasing good player
Nor can we afford to squander picks on rejects from other clubs.
Picking up unhappy game seeking kid is our best choice.
I don't believe the club wanted Kreuger or Clark to leave...
especially with Hendo vacating and ideal spot for Kreuger
Clark was made an offer the club couldn't match.
Being forced to play some Kittens will prove to be a blessing
Rumour has it Cats are seeking to trade up for an early pick.
If so, He had better be a ready to play gun...
Rather that our usual left-field injured bargain bin find.
Would prefer to have more even picks that one good one.
We will need to fill a huge talent hole in the near future
Thankfully we will have the Salary Cap space to do so.
Not sure who the Cats will pick but sure hope he has the right stuff.
Especially those things that cannot be coached into you....
Physically:-
Height, Speed, Power, Athleticism, Agility, Co-ordination, Balance
Reflexes, Anticipation, Spatial Awareness, High IQ, Durability
Mentally:-
Self Confidence, Self Motivation, Desire to Succeed. Goal Setter.
Self Discipline, Optimism, Leadership, Low Anxiety, Ability to Focus,
Mental Resiliency, Determination, Killer Instinct,
Ability to learn from Setbacks, Humility, Appreciation.
... and a Sense of Humour.
Clark is a bust. Not worth a pick in the 30's.
Said it when he was drafted..
Has Mitch Knevitt listed at 181cm and 77kgs... whoopsy
Shame we can't get Brown as Father son, sounds like he is the bolter.

Can someone paste the names of the Top 30 just released in the Herald Sun?
What made you say it when he was drafted? Did you still think it after his first year when many people had him on par with all of the best players from the super draft?
Future 3rd for Kreuger.
A future 3rd could be pick 38. I'd take that for Kreuger.
The problem is that playing "ok depth" is counter productive in a rebuild. His position, being non-structural, is one you put a draftee in when building the list. Likely deal shaping up would see Clark & p34 for Tucker & p27.
Not sure that I like that deal but Clark has a very high ceiling but given proven performance it’s seems fair. Maybe if we play hardball we nab a future 3rd rounder too.
Think Tucker would be a decent addition to our squad although not sure where he fits at the minute.
Still hoping we hold onto Clark and think there is a chance of it as he has yet to officially request a trade.
That’s a helluva yuck burger.Likely deal shaping up would see Clark & p34 for Tucker & p27.

So cats have already ruled out trading Clark for pick 27. Now all of a sudden we are going to give them pick 34 as well, to get Darcy Tucker.Likely deal shaping up would see Clark & p34 for Tucker & p27.

The club will certainly go for the flag next season. I don’t know how good Tucker is but if he can’t add to our immediate flag threat and he is a not going to help the mini rebuild when we lose all those old players end 2022, then I don’t see much point in getting him.I agree
I think Tucker is the type you add when you feel you are in contention and are just finessing the list, when you still believe you have a strong core going forward. If we are still in contention and we feel Tucker will compliment our needs he probably makes sense to add to our list. If we now out of contention then add him , even for a fringe pick will only prevent games for someone younger that might be the core of your side in the next 3 to 4 years.
Our B&F was almost a glimpse into our needs. If he is not a lock for our needs and best 22 ... then I think we should say no. I have a feeling club will continue to believe they are a legit finals threat and look at adding players like him

We don't know cos he hardly got played..Hey Guys, my opinion has always been the best assessment you will get of a player, is from the team they play for's Big footy forum.
Darcy Fort?

Yeah we do need a few in that bracket but it's about where. You need rucks, kps, and ballwinners. Players like him you just draft in a rebuildTo be fair we really need good players in the 24-28 age bracket-more of them. I dont think tucker is good enough though.
