Got my nephew some player trading card packs for Easter (seriously).

Scored this beauty.

Oh the irony.

You're a good uncle, Bridgey.

Was always a good day getting a pack of those as a kid. We used to steal them from the local newsagents after school back in the day.

(FBI, if you're reading this, I'm posting for comedic reasons. This is not a statement of fact)

With JUH... Which teams are the front runners to pick him up next year?
Sydney and Geelong?

No one at this rate he might not be on an afl list at all.
But yes you would think Sydney and Geelong enquire.

The rumours around Bont leaving are starting to pop up albeit to West Coast lol. It’s going to start warming up around him.

Honestly, he's made his money and will likely demand top money again next contract so I can't see him leaving for $$$.
Why in the world would he go to a club that is a certainty to remain in the bottom half of the ladder for the remainder of his career?

He's a winner. Wants premierships.

100% agree. The articles linking us to him will come out soon. The info of our interest in him has been there for a long while.

Henry Hustwaite needs to be looked at he is dominating the VFL as a young fella and looking at him at AFL level he seems very capable. Is not getting the look at Hawthorn he should be after Will Day went down.

195cm on ball player. Thats getting big. OOC in 26 so …would Hawks let him go unless they gain a significant pick from it? I doubt they let him go while contracted for a pick in the 30’s when they don't have to.

Surely Bont would be almost untouchable and highly improbable unless there was some sort of blow up. Why would he move at 30? Was he best buds with Smith? Want a change or scenery? More games at the G? Or …here we go… does he want a farm?

Obviously UFA ..so its just money but its seems so unlikely.

There are already some on the Dogs site that have the epitome on evei etc… that would really start the dogs barking.

I would love Bont at Geelong. He is a joy to watch and a great leader.

But he should stay at the Bulldogs. His type of generational player should be a one-club legend who retires with a statue.

Him leaving the Bulldogs would be like Selwood leaving Geelong or Pendlebury leaving Collingwood. No thanks.

Hey if Bont wants to come to us, I wont say no.

My mind would be blown if he left the Doggies though.

I have strong doubts any clubs will end up pursuing him it’s not often you have a club trying to terminate their contract through the head office
Agree.. But then other side of that, Instead of dogs letting him go for nothing and getting him off there books, they will want best pick they can get for him

I think the time has passed for that personally especially with Bevo going to the AFL to have the contract torn up

CFL/SHocking/CheatClub conspiracy theorists hardest hit….

Chris Scott is the master troll making open ended statements on the likes of Thomas and JUH. Ultimately he just doesn't want to say no to anyone because it makes it awkward if the media bring up someone we are actually interested in but boy does it get the opposition supporters all lathered up.

True but then you have guys like Hodge and Ball who I never thought would leave their clubs. It does happen.

Hodge had retired and was talked into coming back by Fagan.

Ball was a pretty good player, but nothing more.

Bont is the captain, heart and soul player, possibly the best ever at the club and at the peak of his powers... So Bont's situation is different from the guys you mentioned.
