On a per game basis that's like 12 votes over a season for him. No one has ever polled 12 votes from a 2 game season. Zak butters and 3x firsts pleaseNow we can demand multiple firsts for him!

Did I see he got a vote tonight?
He did. Probably still gets traded/delisted in a few weeks though.

I'd be shocked and extremely disappointed if if we traded or delisted George Stevens and I seriously don't see it happening. Our coaches and MC are way to footy savvy for that to happen as the 'young bull' and highly talented George still has heaps of upside. In fact, I can see him putting in a big off season, concentrating on his running speed and endurance. Folks that think he's to slow to play AFL have got this wrong as talent will win the day and the doubters will find out in due course.
That’s very uncharitable of you! Everyone who comes here does so for the love of FRESH SURFCOAST AIRWe were chasing him years ago apparently and made him a massive offer was the word.
My guess is that our offer from years ago represents more dollars than he's currently got on the table and that's why his manager got on the blower, trying to ratchet the offers he's actually entertaining up.
So erm, money, catempire, money

Carlton will get Band 1 compensation for TDKNot offical yet but …. but if implemented ...Its going tp start to get tricky for those lucky enough be gifted a genetic top gun kid.. and I wonder what that means for Carlton. ..who have a R1 FSon this year in Dean and next year with Walker ..with no R1 pick this year.
Of course it does rely on clubs bidding and they do all scratch each other back when it comes to the crunch…will this mean players are bid on earlier to test their willingness to pay or will they slip further..
It would put the fox in the hen house to see Stk put an early bid on Dean at 7 this year . One would think they were one club that would not care about payback as they feel they never have any father sons anyway.

Carlton will retain access to father-son Cody Walker next year as the AFL stopped short of a lock-out on the early picks in the national draft.
But clubs have been told under official rules to be handed to clubs next week there could be restrictions on top four or top eight clubs matching bids on academy and father-son talent.
And clubs might have to use a maximum of two draft picks to match bids, forcing them to trade into elite draft picks if they want to secure talent aligned to their clubs.
...
Under the 2026 rules clubs might have to match bids using only draft selections very close to where the bid lobs.
And they might have to use the points value of only two draft picks where in the past clubs could trade a high draft pick for multiple late selections that added up to a higher points value.
Last year Brisbane traded pick 20 to Richmond for selections 32, 42, 43 and 45 because the value of those picks added up to more than pick 20 and could be used to match a bid for Levi Ashcroft.
The Lions will go into this year’s grand final with father-son Levi Ashcroft and academy player Ty Gallop as first-year Lions set to play a key role.

When you say lastest possible, you mean that the two picks for a guy bid on at 3 is 13+14 then?I think the max two picks has promise, it would help kill pick cycling and it really isn't too restrcitive,
it would make very difficult for top teams to match bids at least in the top 2 or 3, But by pick 6 it wouldn't be too hard for them to use a future 1st to generate the required 2nd pick
it would no longer be a non-brainer for them to pursue them.

So JUH bid match comparison
So JUH bid match comparison
"The Dogs used picks 29, 33, 41, 42, 52, 54"
Becomes
"The dogs had traded up their pick 11 to 8 with their future first but were ultimately unsuccessful finding a home for Bailey Smith that would satisfy both the player and the pick 9 they would need to match a bid, seeing JUH go to the Adelaide Crows while they themselves took versatile tall Nick Cox at the selection"

Brodie Grundy answering the door in a towelOr more likely JUH suspended from school camp for underaged drinking, oh no he has a bad reputation, low performing teams that interviewed him at the draft combine corroborate that he was evasive and disrespectful during interviews, mostly it was his mother answering the questions. At his in home interview, Fox Footy can confirm that he has a messy room.

If only Simon Garlick was still aroundFish goes well with some Butters I hear.

I think Conway is Cooked and Edward’s is 2 years off, that’s why..
If we get the chance next year i would give Edwards 1 or 2 games (if his form is good) just to give him a taste.I agree that Edwards is a couple years away (at least) from playing AFL.
But I want him to be playing as much ruck as possible in the VFL during those two years, is the point. And with Rhys in the 2s, it makes it more difficult to do that.
I'm sure we'd manage it. Rhys would need plenty of rest anywayI agree that Edwards is a couple years away (at least) from playing AFL.

It's our usual strategy with players, give them a game to find out what the standard of AFL is like, so they know what to work onIf we get the chance next year i would give Edwards 1 or 2 games (if his form is good) just to give him a taste.
Faster than Crouch is a low barYou guys clearly valuing “pace” to add to your already super fast midfield group![]()
