MaCrae is a list clogger.

Would prefer to keep Clohesy over him.
Strong agree... An old side with no good kids (bar the obvious one) coming through getting rid of someone his age.. Suggests he isn't a good kid

He has so much gravity that it would make all of our other marking talls jobs so much easier
You can't have too many good players, I know some oracles here claim that we have no need etc..
And while I don't think it's a area of drastic need I'm willing to bet if the club are seriously looking at it they know why and what they are doing.

I don't at all see how we can produce whatever the Blues would want to satisfy a trade but it's all good fun speculation for a few days time at least

..
Don't get me wrong Curnow is a great player and or the right cost it would be a great move but what it will cost us isn't worth it.
..
I'm in the "nothing's off the table" camp (except forcing a player out, which CS is against).

Maybe SNeale's evinced interest to ruck while still young, before "retiring" to the forward line. Maybe Jezza is more potent for us roaming all over the ground, whilst still finding the sticks. Maybe the prototypical rucks CS seeks, are right under our noses (SNeale and/or SDK). Maybe tenderfoots getting experience rucking is fraught with injuries whereas, importing footy-hardened
forwards/defenders into rucking is not (like using simulators to train novice pilots rather than in-situ).

All this is conjecture. But I like their left field thinking. If the Poach Brothers (Wellsy/Mack) didn't make the occasional mistake, they aren't trying hard enough.

Lastly, nothing's set in concrete. Maybe Curnow is worth throwing the rule book away for. You think SMitchell would bat an eyelid or rationalise against himself if Curnow wanted to come across?

To paraphrase the famous quote, don't look at each move for what it is but where it leads to.

We don't need Curnow, they will ask for Stengle or a similar class of player just to get it done. That's already got me walking away.

He's injury prone, and he's suspect under pressure. Yes he has won the Coleman and he can play. But he's surplus to requirements.

There isn't one team that can match our firepower right now (maybe Bulldogs in full flight). He will unbalance our dynamic up forward and cause us to reshuffle our mix when we simply don't need to.

I'd encourage anyone who is on the Curnow train to do a quick analysis on his performance v top 8 and bottom 10 sides. It's not pretty reading and it's a trend. He was all but invisible in their finals run too.

Too often he doesn't want to do the hard stuff and he doesn't compete. He's a 'me me me' player. I'm sure he's a nice enough guy and if we could add him without losing quality then of course I would, but that's not happening.

He had his chance a couple of years ago, it's not on us to get him out of his situation.

That is a lot of maybes for something that would cost an arm and a leg

We really have people on here arguing neale is better than curnow. Hilarious
With the delivery he was getting Curnow wasn't going to do a lot better. Whats Curnow doing with that ball where Blicavs strolled through the middle of the field and kicked it straight to Andrews?

Marshall in, and lets push hard for Butters. We saw today just adding Worpel won't fix the midfield issues we had.
And lets go find a proper small defender. Bailey should have ****ed us early in the game and Cameron got a hold of us. And next year it might be Watson. Or maybe a new small forward pops up from somewhere.

But it used to be a big achilles heel and today we have no answer for their speed up forward.

Did today show why we are looking for Curnow. Neale got a long way to go

Curnow is not gettable so its not relevant. We need to get get marshall and a couple of mids.
