You could have a debate about if an all woman cast is a good or bad idea, but then immediately making another movie the exact opposite? What a horrendous decision.

They're talking about a "Ghostbusters cinematic universe". It's just insane.

They would not have had a bad reaction had they tried to start up their own paranormal movie but they had to borrow the Ghostbusters trademark. Reboots/remakes/reimaginings are not original, this has disaster written all over it. From the cast (unfunny females - don't like any of their brand of humour... give me Tina Fey any day of the week, but then many don't find her funny either so the problem would recycle itself), to the badly scripted jokes and humour (the jokes in ghostbusters 1 & 2 were not outright slapstick they were clever and funny!).

They say it's not a sequel, but that it's its own thing using the same premise. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck it's a duck. Create your own ideas and get a new theme song.... not one that is a remix of an original.

Sure. Many kids would be unfamiliar though. He'll probably be excited when he sees advertising for the new one.

Why they gave the job to an utter tossbag like Paul Feig to make this movie i'll never know. Nothing he did previously suggested he'd be any good at producing a movie like this.
