I woke up to find something hovering over me from the end of the bed upwards to the head of the bed. I wasn't scared as I felt it was my brother who had died years earlier and he was just checking in on me. I just rolled over and went back to sleep with a great feeling that someones watching me.

No disrespect, but I can't believe how people can say that, the fact is, someone has died and isn't supposed to be there...yet they are, how can that not make you shit your pants?

Haha can't believe more people have voted yes

I think someone has kept making new usernames and voting again and again

Seriously how can you believe in ghosts without any evidence. Surely in the 1000's of year of people believing in ghosts there would be some sort of evidence

Explain this then a ghost breathing and with a heartbeat.

Don't bring Derek Acorah into this..... although his vid's make funny viewing.....
lol how can you NOT laugh at the tool NF :D

btw SURELY there is 'proof' of the existance of ghosts BEYOND the 1800s :o

The world is a very different place. Science has evolved as well as peoples beliefs. There is little proodf to suggest the test was held under strict conditions, and then there is still a very strong posibility the scientist was a) lying or b) confused about what he was experiencing. It is just as possible, if not moreso, that it was a medical phenomena that Gully had not experiences, so he decinded it must be supernatural. They were religious people back then too...

The whole denial of the supernatural can be linked back in one form to the meieval vatican.
They didn't want anyone or anything rising above "the" number one holy ghost in their eyes.
Therefore, you have an institution that asks you to have faith and beleive in supernatural force, yet belittles anything that isn't strictly within their parameters of worship, or alternatively lables it as evil and communing with devils..... Just ask Born Agains.... If you communicate with the deceased, your communicating with Satan and his agents.
....and it's funny that the agenda that was created hundreds and hundreds of years ago continues on today...

When I was at uni., I shared a house with two of the more intelligent and sceptical people I've ever met. During a couple of nights, I and the bloke who slept in the adjoining bedroom heard noises from within our shared wall. The other tenant heard it too. We found no rational explanation for this noise, which sounded like somebody trying to walk along the length of the wall, but within the wall.

Never found an explanation, and it never bothered me. I've always understood there are lots of things in life for which I have no explanation. Never understood how you could extrapolate from such an occurence that there is a whole world out there, which is happening without our knowledge. Sometimes things just are, or not, as the case may be.

My Mum always thought there was a ghost in the house where I grew up. An old man had lived there before we bought it. We had a spare bedroom which we called the "music room", it was where Mum would practise piano. Mum kept seeing this old man in there, and he would whisper things to her whenever she was practising. This went on for a while until one day she got really scared and yelled, "GO AWAY!" He never came back after that.

The scary thing is, when she told the neighbours about it, they said the old man had died in that room.

As is every "ghost" video.

I cannot believe the number of times people fall for rubbish like this, find out the explanation... then fall for it again... and again... and again...

We find it perfectly reasonable that stage magicians can make an elephant disappear in front of an audience of hundreds, but as soon as you put a camera in a house (one that obviously doesn't even pan around the whole area!) all of a sudden certain people are convinced they are witnessing a supernatural event!

Someone has a vivid dream, and by morning it becomes a ghostly visitation! I have had dreams like this - finding myself standing beside the bed ready to karate chop some ghostly apparition, waking to find myself trying to knock over a coat stand. I know these are DREAMS. Figments of my IMAGINATION. Other people just want to convince themselves they are being watched by dead relatives. Madness.

And what about supernatural? What is it? If something happens and it can't be explained by someone at a "banjo-plucking hillbilly" level of intelligence it is automatically classified as supernatural?

Anything is possible if not probable.

Nobody knows the deffintive truth so until then the possibility of the paranomal well and truly exists.
But is it worth expending so much energy on the subject when not a single shred of verifiable evidence has ever... EVER... been found?

I beleive in ghosts... just that they are invisible to the naked eye. Just that they can't be seen and felt.

I certainly believe we are more than just a by-product of sexual intercourse, there is more to life than just living and dying.I definately believe we all have a etheric body which will leave our human body once we pass on.
