Where do you get that belief from? Based on what credible evidence?

From my relegion and some research into the afterlife.

What research? You mean you've done scientific research into the other states of being? Even physicists who follow the multiple universes theory haven't been able to show any evidence apart from a massive anomoly many light years away which is millions upon millions of times larger than the earth. And even THAT anomaly hasn't been proven to be matter from another universe leaking into ours.

Chiefton, fair enough you don't believe in the supernatural. I'm fairly skeptical myself... But the fact is that there is no proof that ghosts don't exist. So until you find that proof, what is the point in trying to persuade people either way? Let people believe what they want to believe and we can all be happy.

I don't know if I believe in the afterlife, but it is pretty bloody depressing thinking that we are just a bunch of cells that were lucky enough to be born and live to adulthood and when we die that's it. I think that's a big part of the reason why a lot of people believe in the afterlife and religion, because they can't handle that when they're dead, it really is the end.

If you want to believe that frog people exist, I am not going to waste my breath persuading you that they don't.

People have every right to believe in what they want. Until someone comes out with evidence to the contray that shows their beliefs are fanciful, then I think we should just give it a rest.

Sometimes I wish I had faith. What a nice thing to have! To believe in something that has no proof of existing.

The only thing that comforts me in relation to dying is that I came from the earth - the universe and everything in it was made out of dust and simple elements, and when I die I will go back to being a part of that and helping to create new life.

Anyhoo it's getting late and I'm procrastinating...Must. Do. Assignment! Sorry for getting a touch off-topic!

Of course he's offering big bucks. I don't think it's possible to disprove it.

However, I've never seen one, so until I do my belief won't change... no matter how many stories I read.
